 StarterBar gDesklet

I use the gDesklet StarterBar. KXDocker just didn't seem to fit right with my mostly-GTK+2 desktop (XFce 4.0.5 w/ Crux Window border theme and default UI)

 Why the forks?

I decided to do a little research on the 4 alternate dockers to see what they provided. It seems that both KoolDock and KlearDock are forks of KSmoothDock. One was started due to KSmoothDock not being maintained for a small while, the other doesnt even explain why it was started. Neither of their web pages explain any alternate functionality they provide over KSmoothDock, so whats the point? I'm not saying there isn't one, just that I'd like it explained :)

Also, am I right in thinking KXDocker is a C++ port of OS X Bar for Super Karamba?

The run dialog for the Ion window manager is all I need. Since it also includes (as a script) to autocomplete previously opened documents, it's all I really need since I mostly start my programs by shortcuts, and if not, typing the program name in a box is still faster/more pleasant than walking through menus.

Hey me too !

But with KDE programs :
- khotkeys to launch more often progs
- Alt+F2 to quickly launch another program
- I've removed KMenu from kicker but it still available on Win/Lin key in rare cases
- I still have kicker for the taskbar, system monitoring applets and systray icons + hour + KMix applet for sound volume level feedback (use a shortcut to increase/decrease it).

How do you like Plasma 5?
 The best KDE Desktop ever.
 Definitely a nice improvement.
Not decided yet. Haven't tried it yet.
I do not like some of the changes.
KDE is taking the wrong way.
I am still sticking with KDE 3.5.
I have no opinion, but wanted to vote anyway.
