 Blue

Please don't stick to blue again ...

First it's hideous, second if do choose it again, why have a wallpaper contest? Just use the same ones they use at Redmond and be happy.

Sheesh

 can't choose

I like blue and orange the most, but I can't choose which is better. Yeah, they are completely different and they don't go well together but they're hard to choose between.

I think the best color is gray and then colored to a specified color.

Why don't give at installation an option to choose your favorite colour? And later of course you can easily change it.

Nice thinking :)

Put the top 3 colors from this poll. In the end silver, green, and blue having calming effect on human mind.

Yep, the style could be colorised, even. Great thought!!

I've thought about this too; show user a palette of nice colors and let you choose one - maybe even change the color of the default background. (Preferable SVG?) Would be pretty neat, and give a "personal" feeling.

Those who own a Nintendo DS knows that you have to fill in "your favorite color" the first time, and color of the gui (at least part of it) will change according to your taste.

I can not stand looking at the
excessively Bright, or Dark colour
schemes,
so I use a mix of "slate/medium grey"
with 'soft blue' highlights (title
bar, edging) for the widgets,
and a mix of brighter blue, and black
for text.
A nice balance, which I think would
make a comfortable default.

Do you like or dislike Ubuntu Unity?
 Yes, unity is alien technology!
It is less confusing than Gnome 3 default, shell.
Granny thinks it is much more usable than Gnome 2
Canonical is embarrasing itself with this split project
Gnome 3 default shell is much better
I dislike Unity, Gnome 3 default shell is alien technology!
None of the above, I like the 2Gb for free and Apple alike behavior. Will post a comment instead
