Bugs are rapidly disappearing, but I'm doubtful it's ready for the status of "beta". I was doing to show this off at LWCE this week, but I don't think it's suitable for public oggling yet.

I agree.
I tested the version that shipped with that SuSE Live CD (no suse installed though) on several machines.

It was not only unsuitable for "daily work", it was even unsuitable for short time testing, i.e. about 10 minutes.
Although KDE never totally crashed or frezed itself, I would have to logout and re-login every 2 or 3 minutes because clicks on the kicker were ignored, and the desktop was all messed up by just starting and closing dolphin, kontact and some other applications a few times.

Definitely not even beta yet! (I'm a developer, too; I know what beta is meant to be ;-) )

On the other hand, there are some cool things I liked, and therefore I'm looking forward to test later, more stable versions.
After all, I hope the first Release Candidate will profe its name, unlike the beta.

Do you like or dislike Ubuntu Unity?
 Yes, unity is alien technology!
It is less confusing than Gnome 3 default, shell.
Granny thinks it is much more usable than Gnome 2
Canonical is embarrasing itself with this split project
Gnome 3 default shell is much better
I dislike Unity, Gnome 3 default shell is alien technology!
None of the above, I like the 2Gb for free and Apple alike behavior. Will post a comment instead
