 Cool but too early

I would vote the first and the third option. The idea looks cool and the logo is superb, but it's too early to know exactly how will it be. Anyway it's managed by Aaron J. Seigo, so sure it will be great.

True, logo and examples are cool, but it's too early to tell.

imho it's not too early for a judgment, souns like a serious project, a concrete intent to inovate kde (and the daily concept of dekstop), I have read from the site the expectations of this project, truly interesting...

good luck guys, you have all my admiration

Hey, I really like this project.

1. It looks really great (Logos, example). If they go on like this, it will be the biggest invention since Linux, X and the taskbar. :)

2. And I like, that thy don't try to imitate Windows. It's a great concept. Much better than Redmonds Vista concepts. That's what we/I?! want. We don't need a Windows clone! So, great work!

Sorry for my bad English. I hope you understand what I mean ;)

 Remember usability

I really like the principles driving the Plasma project - they're definitely "things that have to be done"!

However, I also wanted to add (...preach) something:

One of the main ojectives should be simplicity and 'cleanliness'. Just looking at the example extender idea - it seems to me that it might overpopulate the desktop and windows with 'active' regions, if not used sparingly. That's just an example.

Maybe it's just me, but I wouldn't feel very relaxed on a desktop bristling with regions that pop up or generally "do stuff" when I hover or mistakenly click on them. Things should only happen in really cool new ways if those ways are also REALLY useful, so useful that they'll greatly overcome their disadvantage of added complexity.

Ok, that's it... Thanks for reading! :)

It's hard to do programming w/o having concepts. It's like building a house w/o blueprints.

It is not the size of the hammer that counts. It's how you wield it.

How do you like Plasma 5?
 The best KDE Desktop ever.
 Definitely a nice improvement.
Not decided yet. Haven't tried it yet.
I do not like some of the changes.
KDE is taking the wrong way.
I am still sticking with KDE 3.5.
I have no opinion, but wanted to vote anyway.
