I can't edit comment... :)
By "usable" I meant usable in fast work.

 little suggestions

- if the mouse cursor is over a preview, its task should not be collapsed

- if a window is shown, clicking over its preview should minimize it rather than set it active

- the user could have the possibility to choose how much previews can be shown for groups, and over this number it could be useful something like a scroller, or an arrow

- it would be nice if the window border on previews become highlighted (when mouse over), for example, with the same colour used for "light" on tasks, even better if customizable

 Nice... but has shortcomings

I like STasks, but its sizing behaviour is un-intuitive and annoying.

Put it into a panel which should shrink and grow and watch it shrink and grow while the panel remains the same width. I don't want to have to choose between a giant empty panel at some times and icons too tiny to recognize at others.

Also, if placed on a panel beside with another widget that takes as much space as possible, there should be an option to only take as much space as needed. (eg. As it is, STasks takes half of the available space even though it doesn't need or use it)

Also, I couldn't use "expand" when STasks was in such a situation. The expanded versions of task entries flickered into existence on mouse-overand then flickered back to being icons before the mouse had even left.

 Gentoo ebuild for Stasks-0.5.1

Hi I made a Gentoo ebuild for Stasks 0.5.1. I can send it you via e-mail so you can upload here, but I cannot find your address here (PM me please) and I don't think the ebuild needs an entry of its own.

Thanks for your good work.

 Feature request

by mirzaD on: Apr 1 2009

two requests, both seem simple:

- when i click close button on thumbnail preview, it should NOT disappear but it should update to show other windows that are not closed.

-hovering over preview should bring that window to the front

that is all for now i know you got your hands full:)

You mean closing one of the windows in group?
Currently it's impossible without hiding of tool tip.

Big thanks and my little ideas

first of all I would like to thank you for your effort of doing Stasks ;)

and I would like to ask - would it be possible to:

1. merge stasks with quicklaunch and system tray functionality?
2. make preview of task active (accessible through some kind of plugins that would be written for this)
and thumbnail (inactive) preview would be only rendered as fallback function when no plugin was found

following screenshot will make bigger sence

P.S.: hope this wasn't posted somewhere already :p

How do you like Plasma 5?
 The best KDE Desktop ever.
 Definitely a nice improvement.
Not decided yet. Haven't tried it yet.
I do not like some of the changes.
KDE is taking the wrong way.
I am still sticking with KDE 3.5.
I have no opinion, but wanted to vote anyway.
