Description:

That's a mockup of a Media Player, with database capabilities, for KDE4. I was thinking about combining all the best features found on several media players in market [Amarok, Windows Media Player, iTunes, Songbird, Totem, etc (offline/online audio/video player - youtube player, etc)], into one and single media player.
What say you?

Changelog:

Update #1
I've added the "Collection" tab mockup and the media informations for movies.

Update #2
I've added the "Devices" tab mockup.

Well, the ones developing this interface won't be amaroK devs since they have said they know better than anybody else what is good for you and what is not.

AmaroK devs think they're Apple Inc. and so. for me, amaroK doesn't exists anymore. I'm currently using amaroK 1.4 until I find a replacement.

Shame on you amaroK devs. You killed the best player.

Well... I can agree few your opinions. Like Amarok developers has now littlebit acting like "Apple". There is features/changed what people would like to have (like Ctrl+M menu hiding!, try Amarok2 with bespin+xbar and you notice why it is important to get menu hided!) and what they get as response is that "we know better".

But, I do not blame them from it. They have done good choises in the end, even that they ain't perfect ones.

For me the Amarok is still "best" player what is available. But I like it only on my 1920x1200 monitor, on 1280x1024 (what is most used!) it is terrible because you need to keep it on fullscreen!!!

 NICE

Exactly the kind of professional looking home desktop apps Linux is missing. Banshee and Amarok don't come close to other media apps. Songbird looks promising, but wont be good for AGES.
Hope KDE take notice of this.

Do you like or dislike Ubuntu Unity?
 Yes, unity is alien technology!
It is less confusing than Gnome 3 default, shell.
Granny thinks it is much more usable than Gnome 2
Canonical is embarrasing itself with this split project
Gnome 3 default shell is much better
I dislike Unity, Gnome 3 default shell is alien technology!
None of the above, I like the 2Gb for free and Apple alike behavior. Will post a comment instead
