Description:

That's a mockup of a Media Player, with database capabilities, for KDE4. I was thinking about combining all the best features found on several media players in market [Amarok, Windows Media Player, iTunes, Songbird, Totem, etc (offline/online audio/video player - youtube player, etc)], into one and single media player.
What say you?

Changelog:

Update #1
I've added the "Collection" tab mockup and the media informations for movies.

Update #2
I've added the "Devices" tab mockup.

This KDE media player would beats amarok, kaffeine, dragon player, etc.
Would be a great All In One player.

I quite don't like all in one software. it reminds me of Micro$oft or simply I'd had bad experiences with that.

Maybe because you had bad experiences with m$ all-in-one products :P

I agree. We should have one for videos, one for music, one for photos and one for other media.

Just like we have KWord, Kspread, KPlaton. Even that those are joined on one office package, we should have different applications for different tasks. It does not mean that videoplayer can not play music, but videoplayers main purpose is to manage video, not audio.

Amarok 3.0 anyone? This is more or less Banshee for KDE, which has almost all the functions that you have described in this mockup. If the gnome community can do it why can't we?

How do you like Plasma 5?
 The best KDE Desktop ever.
 Definitely a nice improvement.
Not decided yet. Haven't tried it yet.
I do not like some of the changes.
KDE is taking the wrong way.
I am still sticking with KDE 3.5.
I have no opinion, but wanted to vote anyway.
