Description:

This plasmoid is a controller and a visualizer of informations about the songs for amarok 2.0.
It is quite, let's say, advanced compared with the "Now Playing" plasmoid. I have Kirocker as a model, so it works well even on a thin panel.
Currently it shows basilar info about the song, the cover image, the rating and other minor things, but I plan to add some other Things in the future.
Anyway if you have some feature request, please tell me!

Hope you enjoy it!

Nice one! Thanks!

Working just fine with current trunk.

Is there some way (may it be in the code) to change the color of the meter?
That green doesn't really fit to my desky.

Ah, got it.

It's from that bar_meter_horizontal.svgz in plasma/desktoptheme/widgets

I swear someone @ OpenSUSE designed that :D

thanks for the feedback! the color of the meter is set by the plasma theme, and if you don't like the meter color of the theme you use you can change it via the "details of the desktop theme" module in systemsettings

since i use kde 4.2, when i made the tar i forgot to comment the lines for trunk and decomment the ones for 4.1 in "wolfbuttons.h" so you need to do that in order to compile

Yes, i've understood this later. Uncommented the lines: compilation goes well, but when i'm trying to add playwolf to the desktop my plasma crashes.

Hi,
Just compiles the plasmoid, and whenever i try to add it to desktop, plasma crashes and reload.
Havent done any backtracing yet (damned work), but for sake of knowing it is a fedora 10, kde 4.1.3, all the rest standar.

yes, katsuragi has the same problem some posts before.
But since I don't use 4.1 I need a backtrace in order to understand wath's wrong.

all these "no debugging symbols found" don't help.

Yes, it is useful.

But it seems that rather than a PlayWolf bug it is a Plasma bug triggered by the plasmoid. I'll see what I can do, anyway.

Yes,it works.
I update it from 0.2 version. At that time it could work, and after updating my plasma crashes when KDE starts.
I just try again, 0.2 version still works.

I think I found, but before creating a new tar i want to be sure.
Could you open "playwolf.cpp" and in the lines 92, 107 and 124 change "constraints == 127" into "constraints == 63" and tell me if it works?

if yes it seems a problem of d-bus. check if you have it, even if i think it is needed by kde to work.

 Crashes on OpenSUSE 11.0

Thanks for your great plasmoid!

It worked perfectly until today after the update.
It seems (for me as a non-hacker) to be a similar problem like the one above.
I use Version 0.3-1.3-i586 from KDE:KDE4:Community and KDE 4.1.3

Should I post the crash-report here or should I open a bug at opensuse.org or kde.org?

Thanks for your answer. I've just updated my system (but mainly only KDE4 libs and apps).
playwolf is still the same version (build 17.Dec.08) Is this the current version or do I have to wait some days until the rpm is updated?

Anyway here is the error message when I want to add the plasmoid to the desktop.

i have updated playwolf here on kde-look today, so i think you need to wait some days or at least hours until it gets packaged in the repo you use.
the new version is 0.3.1

I just updated to 0.3.1 (now it's in the OpenSUSE repository - thanks to the OpenSUSE-team!) and everything works fine again. :-)
Thanks and happy holidays.

How do you like Plasma 5?
 The best KDE Desktop ever.
 Definitely a nice improvement.
Not decided yet. Haven't tried it yet.
I do not like some of the changes.
KDE is taking the wrong way.
I am still sticking with KDE 3.5.
I have no opinion, but wanted to vote anyway.
