 Cannot compile this Plasmoid

 by ShadowKyogre on: Apr 4 2009

Score 50%

I cannot compile the plasmoid...I get this error:

mkdir: cannot create directory `build': File exists
-- Found Qt-Version 4.5.0 (using /usr/bin/qmake)
-- Found X11: /usr/lib/libX11.so
-- Phonon Version: 4.3.0
-- Found KDE 4.2 include dir: /usr/include
-- Found KDE 4.2 library dir: /usr/lib
-- Found the KDE4 kconfig_compiler preprocessor: /usr/bin/kconfig_compiler
-- Found automoc4: /usr/bin/automoc4
CMake Error at /usr/share/apps/cmake/modules/FindPlasma.cmake:13 (message):
FindPlasma.cmake is deprecated. Now with KDE 4.2 Plasma is part of kdelibs
and automatically found using find_package(KDE4) instead.

Replace the variables previously coming from FindPlasma.cmake as follows:

PLASMA_OPENGL_FOUND -> KDE4_PLASMA_OPENGL_FOUND

PLASMA_LIBS -> KDE4_PLASMA_LIBS

PLASMA_INCLUDE_DIR -> KDE4_INCLUDE_DIR or KDE4_INCLUDES, should be already
set anyway

PLASMA_FOUND -> nothing, it's always there if KDE4, version 4.2 or newer
has been found.

If you see this error message in a module within KDE/, update it from svn,
it has been fixed already.

Call Stack (most recent call first):
CMakeLists.txt:7 (find_package)

 Never mind that

Never mind, it does compile...but you need to edit the CMakeLists.txt. Also, expressions do not seem to get evaluated when used in the panel.

What edit did you make? I tried commenting out the "find_package(Plasma REQUIRED)" line. This got cmake to finish, and the modules to compile, but I got a bunch of undefined reference linking errors. I'm using kubuntu with kde 4.2.2.

Do you like or dislike Ubuntu Unity?
 Yes, unity is alien technology!
 It is less confusing than Gnome 3 default, shell.
 Granny thinks it is much more usable than Gnome 2
 Canonical is embarrasing itself with this split project
 Gnome 3 default shell is much better
 I dislike Unity, Gnome 3 default shell is alien technology!
 None of the above, I like the 2Gb for free and Apple alike behavior. Will post a comment instead
