 bar loads, no icons

by wesr on: Nov 15 2003

The theme installs correctly and appears to run as it should, however it's short the icons. I've copied the info I get from running superkaramba from the CLI.

superkaramba /home/wes/osXBar_1.0.16b-Beta/osXBar.theme

I had an older version that worked fine from a previous install, found this release and tried it. The errors keep looping, much too long to list them all. On the screen I get the black outline of the toolbar. The right an left hand "margins" if you will, expand as if the images are enlarging as they should. The programs launch as they should if you click on whatever it is beneath the cursor, I'm only missing images.

Running Debian 3.0.r1 w/ KDE 3.1.3

Please advise.

 Nice Stuff

This is some really nice stuff you've added. The arrow themes are just fantastic (although the fire theme itself is not my cup of tea). The redround gives good visual clues for what's running etc. The only issue I have with these is that the arrows stay at the bottom and don't rise with the icon. Is that fixable?

This is by far and away the best karamba theme.

All we need now is a gui configurator :).

Tnx!
on next release arrow themes can be changed with the icon ex:
noatun or xmms may have background with notes, web may have a net, icq may have message and so on...

The "arrow" may be moved o Y axis and resize to relative icon zoom but, CPU?
on the new engine "1.0" i can do this with a few code lines but i have to move too much object? what do you think?

0.X versions worked fine for me but I am unable to run 1.X versions. I get this error:

osXBar 1.0 FATAL ERROR:
Cannot load module: xcursor.so

I am running KDE 3.1 on FreeBSD 5.1

Any suggestions?

Compile superkaramba, get from:
examples/globalMouse/
xcursor.so
and copy to osXBar-1.0 directory

Do you like or dislike Ubuntu Unity?
 Yes, unity is alien technology!
It is less confusing than Gnome 3 default, shell.
Granny thinks it is much more usable than Gnome 2
Canonical is embarrasing itself with this split project
Gnome 3 default shell is much better
I dislike Unity, Gnome 3 default shell is alien technology!
None of the above, I like the 2Gb for free and Apple alike behavior. Will post a comment instead
