Not my #1.

I think "Spoons" is still keeping my #1

I'm not sure what's going on with icon themes in plasma but I've yet to get any of the themes I've made to use them. The rest seems to be working fairly well though.

Could you say what you mean by "not well painted"? If you do not have Desktop Effects turned on, any transparencies you have in the panel, dialogs and tooltips may render poorly. There's an opaque folder in the theme folder, for svgs designed to work without transparencies (or compsiting in general). Usually its only needed for dialogs, panels and tooltips.

Hope this helps and great theme!

I decided to test the theme on my svn version of KDE. The svgs appear to be rendering fine.

A screenshot png can be downloaded here:

Not sure if the qt bug in 4.0.2 might be affecting this. Anyway happy to help testing if it helps any. This is quite a nice looking theme.

peace

First thanks for your help. By "not well painted" I mean doesn't look like it should, have a look at the third screenshot, the corners are missing, and on my desktop, panel's gradients are not rendered like in inkscape.
But I see that it works great on your svn , it just lacks the icon theme...

This is without a doubt one of my tops.

Concerning the rendering, here (also on SVN version) the only strange thing is that the clock looks like it's drawn with a half of the screen's resolution (it is also visible in your screenshot).

That's right, the battery is poorly rendered too, too bad when SVG should be infinitely more precise than bitmaps. The clock and the battery are the only full SVG themes, backgrounds that are using some PNGs are sharper. Looks like we'll have to wait for a better SVG rendering...

I don't see the problem with battery.

The strange thing is that the other themes also have completely SVG based clocks, and there are no rendering glitches.

I'll try to see what is the problem...

Concerning the inkscape effects and bad rendering of those - it is to be expected - Qt doesn't support most of the extra-fine stuff. (as we noted on the techbase, in those cases pre-rendering is of essential importance :) )

Looks very professional (except for the bad SVG rendering of course). I love it!

I had to change elegance.desktop into metadata.desktop and move it in the main directory (/elegance/) for it to work for me.. I am using SuSE 10.3 with kde 4.0.68

Are you using it in "~/.kde/share/apps/desktoptheme" or in "/usr/share/apss/desktoptheme" ?
Thank you.

Did you by any chance extract /Elegance & elegance.desktop into "$HOME/.kde4/share/apps/desktoptheme/elegance" instead of "$HOME/.kde4/share/apps/desktoptheme"?

Do you like or dislike Ubuntu Unity?
 Yes, unity is alien technology!
It is less confusing than Gnome 3 default, shell.
Granny thinks it is much more usable than Gnome 2
Canonical is embarrasing itself with this split project
Gnome 3 default shell is much better
I dislike Unity, Gnome 3 default shell is alien technology!
None of the above, I like the 2Gb for free and Apple alike behavior. Will post a comment instead
