Description:

This is a theme based on Azenis, created by JJ Ying (www.jjying.cn). All credits for the artwork goes to him. I only made the port of it. I of course had to alter it a bit because of the limits in Dekorator and Kbfx.

Decompress the Azneins Theme and find the readme.pdf inside. It tells you how to install the theme

What the theme include:

Windeco for Dekorator

Kbfx theme

Font for Kbfx

Wallpaper

Kicker background

Icon backgrounds (for icons in kicker)

KDE Splash theme One with sysinfo and one without.

KDM-Theme This is my first KDM-Theme so don't judge me to hard :P
You will need to install the font (saved by zero) provided in the "Azenis Theme".
I don't know if it works with other resolutions other than 1280X1024.

Cursor-theme (Target) of JJ Ying. I have changed the color and made it smaller than the original.

SuperKaramba-themes:
System info (Base of TechMon-theme) http://kde-look.org/content/show.php/Tech+Mon?content=31253
UT2004 serverbrowser (based of skQstat) http://kde-look.org/content/show.php/skQstat?content=19106
Style for Kclock http://kde-look.org/content/show.php/KClock?content=66205

OpenOffice.org-splash http://web.telia.com/~u00175529/openintro_ubuntu_sun.bmp

Color scheme and QtCurve theme By request

Liquid Weather background http://web.telia.com/~u00175529/20.png

Audacious skin
http://audacious-media-player.org/index.php?title=Main_Page

Hope you like it :)

Changelog:

Added a SuperKaramba sysinfo-theme. I used the TechMon-theme as a base.
----------------------------------------------------------
Fixed mistakes in deKorator (Left bottom corner and left top frame). Cant believe I missed that.
----------------------------------------------------------
Made it all into one download because of the complains of the host. Don't know if its better.
----------------------------------------------------------
Found a new host. Don't know for how long it works.
----------------------------------------------------------
Added a style for Kclock (super karamaba)
http://kde-look.org/content/show.php/KClock?content=66205
----------------------------------------------------------
Added a alternative Kbfx-theme. Made some room for icons in the listbox.
-------------------------------------------------------
Added a Amarok Super Karamba-theme (first screenshot). I used another karamba-theme as a base as I am novice on scripting.

As always, it's not done yet. When I figure out how to make a volume-slider I will finish it. It seems to use a bit of cpu as well. Suggestions are welcome.
----------------------------------------------------------
Added my UT2004 server info-theme for SuperKaramba. It is based on skQstat: http://kde-look.org/content/show.php/skQstat?content=19106
Don't know if ppl still play UT2004 but I added it anyway. Maybe someone have some use of it. The only requirement that I remember is qstat that you probably will find in your distros repository.
---------------------------------------------------------
Put all into one download, and made better structure of the theme. I also made a howto in a pdf-format for new comers to Linux. I'm not very good at explaining things but I hope it will due. I also added a OpenOffice.org-splash. There is no room for more screenshots so you need to click on the link to see it
---------------------------------------------------------
As ppl have asked for a color-scheme, I added a color scheme and also a QtCurve-theme because of the color for the scrollbar. Don't forget to save your QtCurve theme if you should not like this one. This will always be separated as its own download.
----------------------------------------------------------
Added a background for Liquid Weather (I used "Black Cutouts" as a template to make mine). You need to click on the link to see a preview. I also removed the separate downloads.

If someone request it I will update the howto to cover "Liquid Weather", but You will most likely find info on that on main site for lwp. http://liquidweather.net/

---------------------------------------------------------
Added a Audacious skin. I have put a lot of time to make this, so I hope you like it.

I also updated the screenshot so I can show the most of it. It's not my meaning that you should use all I made as it will be too much.
----------------------------------------------------------
Made a new button at top left on the Audacious-skin (forgot to do that before I released it
----------------------------------------------------------
Something happened to my file on the host. Had to rename some of the files. At the same time I updated the screenshot and uploaded the new Audacious skin which was not updated last time.
----------------------------------------------------------
Updated the Audacious-skin. Added better looking buttons.

Fixed the problem with the decompress. Seems to work now.
----------------------------------------------------------
Fixed the KBFX start button. Also fixed the date for KClock. It was one pix to low (strange, thought I had fixed it before).

The new icons in the screenshot is called Preface (found it some time ago on some site), and is not an icon-theme. I manually changed the icons I use.
----------------------------------------------------------
Found a error in the KDE Splash theme (system). Removed "uname -m" and "uname -a". Will look better for all distros (I think).
----------------------------------------------------------
Added a alternet KBFX theme. To use if you are using more than 1 plugin.
----------------------------------------------------------
Added a VU - Skin for Audacious/Xmms (By request).
----------------------------------------------------------

My parents always say: "It not nice to lie...";)

It's hard to belive thats its your first theme.. :O

But I wonder what you can do int the future..I'll keep an eye on you.. :)

Really find pieces of art you have done.
KDE it's not easy to build themes for as it's to as Vista.

Well, I didn't lie, it is my first kdm-theme :) Though, I don't know if it works ok for everybody . I would really like some input on this, as with the rest of the theme.

I have made other themes, which I of curse is not done with (Azenis took all the time). My Christmas-theme (ChristmasTime) really need to be redone. Imo. it looks like crap, at least the kbfx-theme, but now its not the time to do it :P

I don't think I will do more theme anytime soon. I have one theme that I could release ( http://kde-look.org/content/show.php/VectorCell2?content=78555, but it needs some tinkering with. It will not be as big as Azenis, only kbfx-menu, windeco and wallpaper (I hope :P).

 kbfx menu broken :(

i just installed your theme - looks really great!

only thing: the text and background position for the list within the kbxf menu isn't correct. its all moved to the right so the main list is in the middle of the menu...

tried to make a screenshot, but seems like i can't take a screenshot while a menu is opened.

already checked the kbfxlayoutrc file but it contains the same you've posted on the first page of the comments.

Hi!
Maybe you don't use the right themerc. Xbfx can be bugy sometimes and don't pick the right one.

Open Kbfx settings and uninstall the Azeniskbfx-theme. Be sure to delete "personal settings" as well. Then go to /home/YOURUSERNAME/.kde/share/apps/kbfx/themerc and delete anything referring to Azenis. Then go back to kbfx-settings and apply the "2panels"-theme. Then reinstall the Azeniskbfx-theme and click apply. Hope it helps.

If this don't work and you want to make a screenshot. Start "Ksnapshot" (hopefully you have this) and follow this screenshot: http://web.telia.com/~u00175529/17.jpg I think you will understand by just looking at the screenshot :)

already tried this as it was mentioned a few posts earlier, but had no effect.

screenshot worked - should have a better look to the options of some tools ;)
here it is:
http://r4pt0r.dyndns.org/pics/screenshot_kbfxmenu.png

while playig around i found another error: when i disable the frame for a window, just a few seconds later kwin crashes :(
fortunately this PC is only a "testbox", so i think i will make a clean new debian install in a few days and start from the scratch. i also have 3 different "versions" of enlightenment installed for testing, so the system is quite messed up already...
maybe i'll try lenny on the next installation. etch is quite outdated when it comes to several "eye-candy-stuff", maybe this is also a source for errors...

I wonder what version of kbfx you are using?

I use latest (KBFX Silk 0.4.9.3.1). Themes made for 0.4.9.3.1 don't work with older versions (I think). From looking at your screenshot it looks really weird and its most likely not the theme that causing this, but something else ( I really don't know).

Please let me know how you solve this!!

Probably, when I start to use it (when 4.1 comes) :) I don't know if kbfx works with kde4 or if there are alternatives for it but I will do what I can :)

A wonderful theme. Usually in other themes only certain bits look good while others do not fit in. This one takes care of just about all aspects.
This has to be the first theme, or anything on kde-* that has such good set of instructions that are easy to follow and actually work. Besides the fact that i can't get the sensors to work properly i am going to use this one for a while.

help me to install it please

Hi,

Theme really looks very nice. Please help me to install it at my Fedora7 ?
As I see, it is a KDM theme, but I can't install it through control center...
Probably I need to install it manually? In what folder should I copy files?

My search for necessary info at this site failed...
All I found is short instruction:
1. Download the 'Clean' KDM theme
2. Extract the archive and copy the separate folders to '/usr/kde/YOURVERSION/share/apps/kdm/themes'
3. Edit your '/usr/kde/3.5/share/config/kdm/kdmrc' file so it contains the line 'UseTheme=true' then state the theme you would like to use with the line 'Theme=/usr/kde/3.5/share/apps/kdm/themes/Clean_Toffee' for example.

but I have no /usr/kde/ in my Fedora.

May be you can give me detailed description of KDE folders and where should I put new themes /cursors, wallpapers, sounds, fonts, colors, etc../

Thanks in advance.

Have you read the howto that comes with Azenis? It explains how to install most of it. I'm not familiar with Fedora but I google some, and found "kdmtheme" here: http://rpm.pbone.net/index.php3/stat/4/idpl/5825937/com/kdmtheme-1.2.2-1.fc7.i386.rpm.html
You use "kdmtheme" to install kdm-themes more easy.

I don't know how you install things in Fedora, but If you use a repository to install things (adept) you should install it from there. Once you got "kdmtheme" installed, you will find it in "kde controlcenter" (kcontrol). All this and how to go from here is explained in my howto (in a pdf-format)

Good luck! :)

Hello,

I have kdmtheme package in my system.
Moreover I tried to install themes downloaded from this site using "Control center -> System administration -> KDM theme manager" But it always says me "This file is not a valid KDM theme archive"... that's why I posted my previous message. I downloaded several theme archives from this site and tried to install them using KDM theme manager, and all my attempts failed :(.
So, may somebody explain how to install theme manually, or may be there are Fedora users here?

Thanks,
Roman

How do you like Plasma 5?
 The best KDE Desktop ever.
 Definitely a nice improvement.
Not decided yet. Haven't tried it yet.
I do not like some of the changes.
KDE is taking the wrong way.
I am still sticking with KDE 3.5.
I have no opinion, but wanted to vote anyway.
