OOo isn`t a GTK app, it java app "internaly" linked whith environment widgets, this bug is probably on kde4 OOo integration. You can get more informations about this or file this bug here http://img404.imageshack.us/img404/9500/openoffice.png

 kde sc 4.4

by nantocsem on: Apr 10 2010

It worked for me until kde sc 4.3.4, but since arch updated to kde 4.4, sometimes theme's are applied, sometimes they're not. In google chrome sometimes the standard theme kills even plasma, and anything opened from daisy plasmoid or gmail plasmoid won't follow the setup theme, uses default instead. I can see in the repos, that it wasn't updated since january, it should have a maintenance for kde 4.4

Really, I have some code cleanings and bugfixes for now, but I want a major feature to make the release. What do you want to see in the new version?

First of all thanks for a good app, gtk in kde is ugly by default, and you fixed it ;)

Secondly, i discovered a bug, altho its a small thing, it messes up when one tries to change font to something other then "sans serif 10".

Anyway, patch is here: http://dev.slackverse.org/patches/kde4-gtk-0.9.4_fix_bad_quotes.patch

It's pretty much self-explainatory, so i don't think i need to go into details :)

Keep up the good work, cya!

 KDE-4.5 support

 by GODLiKE64 on: May 31 2010

Hi. First of all I have to say, I love this package. It's the only way GTK apps can look nice in KDE4, when coupled with qtcurve.

I've recently installed KDE-4.5 beta 1. I don't know whether it's the System Settings' new layout or what, but I no longer see the options for changing the GTK style when I go to Appearance. Current gtk-kde4 settings are working though.

Another thing I noticed is that Eclipse now crashes when trying to open certain treeviews in the navigator pane. I wanted to try out and see if QTCurve was causing this, but I haven't been able to because of the above. It doesn't happen under fluxbox though.

Cheers, keep up the good work! :)

 64 BIT???

by batmarx on: Jul 9 2010

Thanks for this excellent app!
The only problem is that it does not run on 64BIT KDE...
Even forcing to accept the 32bit architecture the problem persists...
Please do something to run this marvelous app on 64BIT!
64bit is the future after all and more and more people use it.
Especially in stronger computers...
