Description:

This is a emerald version of my slickness theme,
it fits with all of the slickness themes
except golden.

The fonr it uses is artwiz snap, get it here:
http://artwizaleczapka.sourceforge.net/

to install:
go to emerald theme manager and click import
scroll to the SlicknesS.emerald file.

If you have problems let me know, this emerald
stuff is like astrophysics to me so it
is more than possible something went wrong,
but anyway , it works for me :)

Changelog:

0.2 Changed the buttons so there isn't any
space between them, Changed the font to
zekton, tweaked the shadow.

0.3 Added some sort of glow effect to buttons.

0.3.1 Tweaked the buttons a little bit.

0.4 Added some sort of fading transparency effect
on titlebar.... I don't know, thought it looked cool...
(Check first screenshot to understand what I mean)
Changed the font to artwiz-snap.

0.5 Made the buttons on active window
have more 3d look than inactive windows,
adjusted the font so it's easier to read.

I like this seem very much, it is nearly perfect -- the best dark theme I have ever seen...

A question about this emerald theme: how can I make the window border semi-transparent, like the aero effect (your sample image is like that).

I can use alt+scroll, but that will make window content transparent, which is not what I want.

Thank you!

The whole window in the screenshot is slightly transparent... look closely. There is a plugin for Compiz that enables you to set transparency for certain windows.

I'm sure you mean the second screenshot
which is an old one of the first version :)

The first screenshot is the updated one.

That's VERY nice.

One of my reservations was that this theme package looked "flat", but the transparency goes a long way in aiding that.

Maybe work on a gradient for it to give it a three-dimensional look? Look at the Darklight emerald theme for a good example.

Thank you very much all of you for your kind comments!! :)

Very appreciated!

The iconset is this one:

http://www.gnome-look.org/content/show.php/black-white+2+Style?content=72619

as for the transparency effect you see in the
screenshot, it is the "major" change to this version,
also , in the screenshot I have the alpha blur effect
activated.

Thanks for suggesting different gradient, tho
I must say that that is the one thing I have been
able to be kinda happy with for more than a day
or so :)

It is not meant to be 3-dimensional, for this hole
slickness project I have is to make a black and
white clear but still kinda "slick" environment
to work in :)

My next theme might be more 3 dimensional tho,
At the moment my d**n laptop (which I absolutely
love to work on) is f***ed (It wont recognize the
d**n power cable) , honestly , next time I will
buy me a macbook (when I have the money :D)!!!

Thanks again guys!

Thanks man! Glad you like it :D

I use compiz-fusion with emerald myself...
It is like 1000000 times more stable than compiz and
has a lot more to offer : )

Try it out!

How do you like Plasma 5?
 The best KDE Desktop ever.
 Definitely a nice improvement.
Not decided yet. Haven't tried it yet.
I do not like some of the changes.
KDE is taking the wrong way.
I am still sticking with KDE 3.5.
I have no opinion, but wanted to vote anyway.
