Umicons Icons for KDE!

I have convertet in many hours over 2500 icons for KDE.

Many thanks to mattahan, the creator of the icons, for his agreement to convert this icons for KDE.

Please read the readme!

Can anyone tell me where to download these icons. I've been checking the download link for the last few days and there doesn't seem to be an actual download on the page it links you to.

The download works fine on deviantart!

Click the "empty" button at the bottom of "Copyright © 2003 ~norbalin"

I dunno why this button is empty...

 Deviant Art

The download link, leading to deviant art, makes my konqueror (KDE 3.1.3) crash on two different systems.

I tried to download it with Mozilla, however I've installed OpenOffice 1.1 RC1, which took over control over all file associations and OpenOffice cannot open a tar.gz. file. Save as... does also not work, since deviant art uses an automatic redirection for the download link :-(

Deviant arts seems not to be the best choice :-(

Hello, These icons looks very awesome, gives new dimension to the look for the desktop. But, I have one comment to say about the fidelity of these icons. If you take a look at the screen shots you will understand the difference, at around the tool bar the clarity is not so good for Umicons then for the crystal icons.

I don' know how you improve this....

Can you reply for this....

Regards,

These may never leave my desktop - each one is like a little piece of art. Thank you Mattahan and Norbalin! Hope you continue on your quest to enrich us with more eye candy...

 Great, but...

I think these are really creative icons and they look great. However these icons are falling behind, when I have to differ between icons with sizez 22x22 and 16x16. The icons look great at a size of 32x32 and above.

If you could create different icons for smaller sizes, it would highly improve the usablility of this icon set.

This is a bug in the 22x22 icon set! Please use instead meanwhile the 16x16 or 32x32 icons.
I fix this in the next release!

Thanks for the heads up! :-)

Do you like or dislike Ubuntu Unity?
 Yes, unity is alien technology!
It is less confusing than Gnome 3 default, shell.
Granny thinks it is much more usable than Gnome 2
Canonical is embarrasing itself with this split project
Gnome 3 default shell is much better
I dislike Unity, Gnome 3 default shell is alien technology!
None of the above, I like the 2Gb for free and Apple alike behavior. Will post a comment instead
