Description:

The same animated cursors as in my 'Golden Xcursors 3D' theme, but this time rendered with a bluish, transparent material.
Maybe this one fits better into the brighter desktop themes than the golden one.

Installation:

Copy the two folders 'Blue' and 'default' to your ~/.icons directory and
restart your X-Server.

If you want to have bigger cursors, you have to create an .Xdefaults file
in your home directory and insert the following two lines:

Xcursor.theme: Blue
Xcursor.size: 48

The default size is 32.

That's it!

Note: If the animations are flickering on your nvidia card with the latest
driver, add the following line to your XF86Config file, into the nvidia
device section, to fix it:

Option "HWCursor" "off"

Changelog:

0.4
- added pirate
- a little less animation (requested)

0.3:
- added smaller size
- modiefied text-cursor
- added some symlinks

0.2:
- added 'fleur'
- modified the material
- slightly changes on some cursors
- added some symlinks

You need XFree86 4.3 to use these cursors.

 I can't stand it

*WHY* have you made this beautiful theme? WHY?

I catch myself watching the rotating cursor like being hypnotized... Absolutely fantastic job. When are you going to release the code? ;)

One commend though, please make a link "arrow" pointing to a right_ptr (or since there isn't any right_ptr, the left_ptr should do the trick).
There are a lot of programs that use this pointer for displaying menu selections, like TK or Java.

And one more:
ln -s left_ptr top_left_arrow

for the OO.o application

 Makes X unstable

This is a very nice theme to look at, but I've had no end of trouble with instability with X after installing it. I'm running Mandrake 9.1 with KDE 3.1 My graphics card is an NVIDIA RIVA TNT2 running with the latest binary drivers from nvidia. When I did something as basic as start Tuxracer, everything would lock-up as the display tried to resize to fullscreen mode. The only way to get system back (other than hitting the reset button) was to Alt-Sysreq-K to kill X. I removed this mouse theme, and now X is very stable again. I was sorry to lose the eye candy, but system stability is more critical.

 Merge with Crystal!!

Why dont you merge with crystal, making
it the best of the best xcursor theme ever?

I think both have a lot of qualities and
if you merge them all it would be the
KDE 3.2 cursor default, along with
the crystal icon theme.

Keep the good work!!!

Where are you, makers of the Blueglass
and Crystal ???

How do you like Plasma 5?
 The best KDE Desktop ever.
 Definitely a nice improvement.
Not decided yet. Haven't tried it yet.
I do not like some of the changes.
KDE is taking the wrong way.
I am still sticking with KDE 3.5.
I have no opinion, but wanted to vote anyway.
