This is a complete system set for KDE. I have assembled this set from icons by Everaldo, Louie Mantia and an unknown artist here on Deviantart who created the Dossier icon that I used for a template to create all of the filesystems icons. I used Louie Mantia\'s mimetype icons as a template. Also included in this set are the most beautiful Open Office icons on the planet created by Mike Moschini aka gryphen who kindly granted permission to include them. This is a great example of a true Linux community. This iconset is by the people for the people :-)

The build script depends on 'convert', which is part of ImageMagick.

I created this set because there are no iconsets for KDE to my liking. I hope everyone enjoys this set and I give all credit to the great artists who made most of these icons.

To install this set:
1. download the zip file
2. extraxt the zip file
3. cd into the Glossy_Crystal folder
4. open a terminal there
5. run ./buildset
6. get a beer
7. Install the icon theme in KDE Control Panel
8. Enjoy

Changed download link to Deviantart page.

Added Baghira sidebar icons
Added choice of Trash icons...before building set go to the filesystems folder, rename trashcan_empty to trashcan_empty1, rename trashcan_full to trashcan_full1, pick the Trashcan set you like and remove the number from the name then run ./buildset

Replaced some ugly icons
Corrected some icon names...Thanks Nick

Created a "K" themed kmenu icon, an amarok icon, and a konversation icon
Corrected more icon names...thanks again Nick

Fixed buildset script
Removed duplicates

Added vlc icon, konveration system tray alert icon and colored folders open icon...Thanks Nick

Added new K3B icon, GimpCan icons, Gamepad icon, Word Processor icon, many new Folder icons per request and improved and cleaned up some more... Made Mo Betta :-)

I like your upper kicker bar...
do you use baghira?
furthermore what about your...finder?
I use baghira, too, but my upper kicker and finder (konqueror) look different from you

Yes it is Baghira...the trick is to use Gimp to turn the kicker background included in the Baghira source upside down.
The sidebar looks better if you google baghira and find the baghira tutorial.

The Baghira Starter is my little Fedora mod and the Spotlight icon is Kerry Beagle.

Perhaps...if you could show me an example, the proper icon name and if it goes in the /apps folder?

 Too broken up

Instead of releasing a version with 3 updated icons every day, how about releasing a serious update weekly?

Sorry...I guess I just get too excited sometimes.

I want to give back to the KDE and Linux community...where else could you get such a wonderful OS for free?

You have really good graphic taste!
I suppose you like Mac OS X look and feel, so ... why don't you convert all you icons sets for Mac users?

I'm both a Kubuntu and a Mac user, and having coherence between these two platforms would be great!!!

I can tell your icon sets are even better then the original by Apple, and I would be glad to publish and promote your work on my blog!

You can find me at mad4mac.altervista.org

Let me know your opinion

Great Job!

Thanks for the comment.

I only created a small number of these icons and I'm proud of my creations.

The truth is that most of the icons in these sets are by Everaldo, Louie Mantia, Sergio Ruiz, Mike Moschini, and Jonas Rask who graciosly granted me permission to edit and assemble them into these KDE icon themes.

I only claim to be the editor and contributing artist.

If you would like to find something very similar for Mac please look here: http://www.aqua-soft.org/board/

Aquasoft is where I and many others get our inspiration.

Great work! By the way, what is the window decoration used in the screenshots?

Beryl Emerald...my port of Susumu's Eternal.

It's on Beryl's site under themes...it's called Eternal Fedora, works good with Ubuntu Human color scheme.

Awesome set of icons, congrats really. I will be using them.
Also, I loved your bottom kicker, it has three dimensional feeling to it. Where did you get it?

How do you like Plasma 5?
 The best KDE Desktop ever.
 Definitely a nice improvement.
Not decided yet. Haven't tried it yet.
I do not like some of the changes.
KDE is taking the wrong way.
I am still sticking with KDE 3.5.
I have no opinion, but wanted to vote anyway.
