Description:

My Lizard Bootsplash for SuSE 10.2

The splash screen is designed for resolutions 800x600, 1024x768, 1280x1024, 1400x1050, 1600x1200 and 1920x1200 widescreen.

Unpack the archive in /etc/bootsplash/themes/ and change the THEME=xxxx line in /etc/sysconfig/bootsplash to THEME="Lizard".

Run "SuSEconfig" followed by "mkinitrd" to store the splash in your ramdisk for the resolutions defined in your grub bootloader and reboot.

Enjoy this beauty.

Greetz,
Luc

The images still show SuSE Linux 10.1. Could you change them to OpenSuse 10.2 please?

Yes, I'll second that: could you please implement 1024x768 and 800x600 resolutions? Thanx!

I got it to work with 1024x768. I just resized the 1280x1024 to 1024x768 and used Gimp's pointer coordinates to edit the configuration file to realign the text and progress bar with the image.

Nice work again. I like it

 The resolving

by serjant on: Apr 24 2007

Score 50%

So in file named bootsplash-1024x768.cfg there are two problems with the script:
1.line-text_font=/etc/bootsplash/themes/SuSE/config/vera.ttf
-there is no such file vera.ttf(font you meant) in /SuSE/config,there only 8cfg files, erase this line.
2.In /sbin in file mkinitrd in line 2999 there is a problem with - "trigger silent play anim" in bootsplash-1024x768.cfg,it cannot recognize it,erase this line ,
That's all and everything is cool.
But the grade is 100,nice work.
Here is the repaired file:

Do you like or dislike Ubuntu Unity?
 Yes, unity is alien technology!
It is less confusing than Gnome 3 default, shell.
Granny thinks it is much more usable than Gnome 2
Canonical is embarrasing itself with this split project
Gnome 3 default shell is much better
I dislike Unity, Gnome 3 default shell is alien technology!
None of the above, I like the 2Gb for free and Apple alike behavior. Will post a comment instead
