Domino is a style with a soft look. It allows to fine adjust the shininess of the widgets by customizable color gradients.

* new option for indented / non indented menu items
* new option for highlighted tool button icons on mouse over
* the button look for tool(bar) buttons is now optional
* new rubberband options
* smaller tabWidget margins
* respects Gwenview's / Kicker's taskbar applet / Konversation's own mousewheel handling for scrollviews
* clipped popup menu edges, for a better look with KWin's shadows (Beryl seems not to support it).
* fixes pixmaps on PowerPC architecture
* fixes functionality of some popup QToolButtons and adapts their look and behavior to KToolBarButtons
* the content of popup menus with a side pixmap is visible again (Amarok, Digikam)
* adapts KMenu's section header style
* fixes Kickoff's tab icon alignment
* fixes possible crash with enabled text effect
* lets apps using their own label colors on tabs (if they're not defaulting to a fixed color like konsole)
* decoration: option "dark window frame" draws a darker frame
* decoration: borders are hidden when in maximized mode and moving / resizing of maximized windows is not allowed.

To all who have problems with make:
You have to install "kdebase-dev" first

those development files cant be found anywhere. At least I cant find them.
It is at the end of the ./configure step that the header files are not present in the prefix in mandriva 2007-1. No user friendlyness I should say?

 Menu Gradient

 by bigheadkde on: Jun 20 2007

It would be great if there was an option to make gradients on menu (like Qtcurve) and change the for color of it.

Another good option would be to make popup menus square, this way it would be fully compatible to beryl (I think)

Sorry for my English.. still learning

I use Beryl+Aquamarine with the Domino style. I have noticed that beryl runs smoother with this setting (strange but true...). However, when a window is maximized the decoration disappears (this has been reported in the past by user hellblade as well). Has anyone else encountered this problem? Is there a solution?

Thanks in advance!

Is Domino broken with latest KDE (3.5.7)? If I hover over an icon or a file, the popup will always appear somewhere in the middle of the screen, not next to the icon. And if (e.g. in konqueror) you hover over something that is located in the middle, the popup will only show up for a few miliseconds and then disappear.

And also: could you give the possibility to chose between KDE-style scrollbars and Win-style (3 or 2 arrows)?

Domino looks just great! Keep up the good work and many thanks!

 can't make it

 by temmee on: Jul 15 2007

I have problems with installation, and haven't found any help so far, so I'll ask you. I have kdebase-dev installed.

root@temme-kubuntu:~# cd /home/temme/Themes/domino-0.4

Check goes well, unless;

checking whether g++ supports -Wno-non-virtual-dtor... no
checking how to run the C++ preprocessor... /lib/cpp
configure: error: C++ preprocessor "/lib/cpp" fails sanity check
See `config.log' for more details.

...I get this error and process stops.

What should I do ?

How do you like Plasma 5?
 The best KDE Desktop ever.
 Definitely a nice improvement.
 Not decided yet. Haven't tried it yet.
 I do not like some of the changes.
 KDE is taking the wrong way.
 I am still sticking with KDE 3.5.
 I have no opinion, but wanted to vote anyway.
