Description:

This is a set of widget styles for Qt4/KDE4, KDE3 and Gtk2 based apps.

0.49 is the first version to have a Qt4/KDE4 port. This version may be compiled with just Qt4 - in which case the KDE4 control panel config dialog will not be built. See the INSTALL file for more details.

The fonts and colours for the GTK themes will be read in from your Qt settings - so any KDE font/colour changes will also affect your GTK apps.

**NOTE:** The Gtk3 release has been removed, as the Gtk theme API has changed!

NOTE: kde-look.org had a server crash, and the original QtCurve entry was deleted.

Changelog:

KDE4
====

1.8.14
------
1. Fix loading of kwin decoration/config under KDE4.9

KDE3
====

1.8.5
-----
1. Allow scrollbar sliders to be as thin as 5 pixels. At this setting, sliders will be squared.

Gtk2
====

1.8.16
------
1. fix memleak with newer versions of cairo.

 New scrollbars

 by sxe on: Jul 2 2011

I would like to see a feature to have slick scrollbars like in the new ubuntu theme, where you normally have a small bar that indicates where you are on the page and only when you hover over the bar you get the handle. I think the idea is really clever, cause you save a lot space.

You can see what i'm talking about here:

Don't know if anyone's asked yet, but is a GTK3 QtCurve theme in the foreseeable future?

As stated before....

At the moment, no. Sorry. Its just going to be a *lot* of work. I did re-factor the Gtk2 codebase to make a Gtk3 port easier. But to be honest, I now use Oxygen, and don't have the time/enthusiasm to learn Gtk3's new CSS themeing.

 Menus , windows and widgets without border

I'd like if there is the option the size of border line to be zero . The windows' shadows themselves in composite desktop will be very beautiful border for the aqua style.

 How to change checked menu items icon background

 by terra2009 on: Jul 25 2011

Score 50%

Hi,
I am using qtcurve and have created menus containing checkable items with icons. So if the item is checked I am not showing the checkmark but the icon which will be surrounded by a rectangle. This is done by KDE/QTCurve automatically.
Now my question: I want to change the background of a checked menu icon to improve visibility of checked state. So the background color but also the color of the frame around the icon. How can I do this?
Thanks for your help!

1. Could you add an option to set a custom color for toolbars?

themers would love you sooo much.

2. oxygen/ oxygengtk recently has gotten the use a bg image pixmap option: http://islingt0ner.deviantart.com/gallery/28008294#/d3hohxu

could qtcurve also support this? I would love to add something like that to http://islingt0ner.deviantart.com/art/N-7-Theme-Pack-211477869

I know qtcurve has a use bg image option, but the way its done is a lot easier in my humble option. The pixmap can be anything jpg/png/svg just calculate the size of resolution add x and y for windeco and draw whatever you want and oxygen will paint it in the background.

How do you like Plasma 5?
 The best KDE Desktop ever.
 Definitely a nice improvement.
 Not decided yet. Haven't tried it yet.
 I do not like some of the changes.
 KDE is taking the wrong way.
 I am still sticking with KDE 3.5.
 I have no opinion, but wanted to vote anyway.
