Description:

"KDE Spectra" is my idea of how the next generation KDE should look like.
I am introducing a new concept which I am calling as "Context Tool Bar".
I have also included an idea wherein selected files should have an "open-with-this-app" buttons. For example, mp3 or audio file icons can have the xmms or noatun icons on them when selected. Then just press the corresponding app's button to open that file with that app.
I have created the folder icon.
I hope you like it!

Why have the buttons in the upper-right corner of the windows of all mockups the FUCKING Vista look these days?

As if Vista is by definition the way to go...

Be original and invent something for yourself

great artwork man! keep up the good work.

and now i want to say something about all those reactions about users who attack others, because some theme's or icons look like windows vista icons. u always say "be original" and "not that vista crap again" etc....

u know, it is U who make the comparison to windows vista! this theme may have a little bit of the look of windows vista, but still, this is original and not a copy! And why not having the same look and feel as windows vista man, i mean common!

personally i think it's a good thing to have a sort of "windows" look and feel, so even more people who cannot afford windows vista or XP because of the abnormal prices, still can have the same look and feel, but then in a linux enviroment.

And maybe more windows users will switch over to linux, because u can create the same look and feel as the OS they're using now, but a lot cheaper and with less memory usage! and i think how more people switch to linux, the more linux gets respected as an serious Operating system!

maybe the english isnt that good, but i think u will get the message...

I don't care about what it looks like in the design stage, but I do care about usability and functionality. And this idea seems to be on the right track. :)

Do you like or dislike Ubuntu Unity?
 Yes, unity is alien technology!
It is less confusing than Gnome 3 default, shell.
Granny thinks it is much more usable than Gnome 2
Canonical is embarrasing itself with this split project
Gnome 3 default shell is much better
I dislike Unity, Gnome 3 default shell is alien technology!
None of the above, I like the 2Gb for free and Apple alike behavior. Will post a comment instead
