I've made very fast and easyli mockup on how kbfx could look like...
This is only mockup remeber that..

Soon we will launch our project homepage
for the kbfx where you can download kbfx and do some other cool stuff...

Hope You like this Mockup.

Cheerz =)

Hi All..

I have made small mockup for removing applications very simple from the menu.

Please write you opinion on what u think!
To look at it just press on REMOVE APPLICATIONS MOCKUP or go to http://kbfx.org/other/anremove.gif

Well we are working really hard on version 0.5 and we came up with some idea yesterday on moving your apps and organize them how ever you want.

Since the kbfx 0.5 is going to be customable we thougt on this idea with small animation.

Look at the Screenshot 2 the black one for some reason and feel free on what you think if this is good way to organize your apps.

We have opened our homepage WWW.KBFX.ORG
You can easily get help there about kbfx.
Please vote on our homepage for this
mockup as it will be probably V0.5.

Here is the link:
Welcome to the KBFX.ORG

Many of you complain that this theme is too much looking to windows and i agree.
I've made it like that because siraj (kbfx developer) did kbfx vista theme..

KBFX MENU will be themeable which means if you want flower and birds insted you can make it. This is just one of the themes and i will make much more of them when this kbfx menu is finished.

I have made a setting menu now also where you can look at it at screenshot 2 and screenshot 3.

We have also now registered domain name KBFX.ORG and we are for now developing our homepage..

I hope that you like the idea with this menu.. See YA!

... I like it. Face it: The XP menu *is* or can be more usable than kmenu ... this is the way to go. BTW: What will I have to install to get this, when development is finished? I´d really like to see this happening in Source, not in some cheesy (semi-finished) kicker-replacement ...

but still, i'd love to see you try to use as much space as you seem to need - why not make it waaay bigger? its not like the user would miss the space... just make it a big window with big icons, multiple search bars, include document search, favorites etc etc...

KBFX exists as you allready might know. But, however, this thing does not. From the title: "Kbfx - Menu Improvement (Mockup) Opinion".
This means that this is a fake screenshot painted in gimp for example and is not installable( - yet).
The creator here want's to hear comments of this concept used in this so called mockup.

Hope this explains it all.... =)

I never stop to amaze about the advanced features in the human bodys's simplicity.

This is how KDE should look like, clean and simple.

Great design.

IHMO that was a mistake of M$ to make such "featurized" menu in XP. Not because of the fact it's overloaded & unstructured (again, that's my point of view, i can't say i'm agerage user) but the fact it differs what users saw in 2000 & ME. I do not have such statistics but quite sure the majority of XP users are those migrated from earlier microsoft OS'es. The simplest way to make the user stuck is to change design into completely different. Even if it seems to be simpler to operate the user who got used the prev. variant would be confused much of the new layout.

You've got the idea, that's what such changes result in

Best regards, Mirya

How do you like Plasma 5?
 The best KDE Desktop ever.
 Definitely a nice improvement.
Not decided yet. Haven't tried it yet.
I do not like some of the changes.
KDE is taking the wrong way.
I am still sticking with KDE 3.5.
I have no opinion, but wanted to vote anyway.
