Well we are working really hard on version 0.5 and we came up with some idea yesterday on moving your apps and organize them how ever you want.

Since the kbfx 0.5 is going to be customable we thougt on this idea with small animation.

Look at the Screenshot 2 the black one for some reason and feel free on what you think if this is good way to organize your apps.

****************************************
We have opened our homepage WWW.KBFX.ORG
You can easily get help there about kbfx.
Please vote on our homepage for this
mockup as it will be probably V0.5.

Welcome to the KBFX.ORG

TO ALL PEOPLE!

Many of you complain that this theme is too much looking to windows and i agree.
I've made it like that because siraj (kbfx developer) did kbfx vista theme..

KBFX MENU will be themeable which means if you want flower and birds insted you can make it. This is just one of the themes and i will make much more of them when this kbfx menu is finished.

I have made a setting menu now also where you can look at it at screenshot 2 and screenshot 3.

We have also now registered domain name KBFX.ORG and we are for now developing our homepage..

I hope that you like the idea with this menu.. See YA!

I usualy don't like things that "mimic" windows usage, because they are simply not original ideas.

Despite it looks like win menu, it is realy organized. That's why I'll wote for it!

 It must have styles

It must have styles or I personally will never go near it. I do not use windows, I do not want to use windows and we all have to stop copying the look & feel of windows.

But yes it is time for a new look and feel for the KDE menu and I like the way it is organized.

Amen, Individual ability to modify at least to the extent that it can match the persons desktop is a must. Also there should be ways to properly integrate with the various Linux Distro's. Mandriva's menu is tight and compact where the Fedora Menu is less compacted and more one level.

What IMHO I really think would be a gas is if it could operate seperate from Kicker. That would open the world up to alternative kickers as well.

I don't think it's REAL windows like. Looks pretty usable/functional. I like it :P

okay, it's reasonably windows looking. whatever. everything mimics something and this isn't one of those god awful looking windows mimics. this is smooth and organized. i like it much, it may not be ideal, but its in the right direction of how the menu needs to go.

 added suggestion

One thing that i'd *really* like is to be able to pick which programs get on the main menu and their shortcuts. On windows (cough) I can use 'pin to start menu' then rename the shortcut there, so i can launch any of my favourite apps by pressing 2 keys: Windows and then the first letter of the shortcut's name. I'd love to be able to do that in KDE!

I didn't start using linux to keep seeing Windoze look-a-likes. However, this has a real clean look to it. Could you offer it in more than one color scheme? Hope so. Good job!

How do you like Plasma 5?
 The best KDE Desktop ever.
 Definitely a nice improvement.
Not decided yet. Haven't tried it yet.
I do not like some of the changes.
KDE is taking the wrong way.
I am still sticking with KDE 3.5.
I have no opinion, but wanted to vote anyway.
