Description:

nuoveXT is an icon theme for GNOME and KDE.

This is my first attempt of creating an icon theme. There is still a lots to do, but I thought I could share what I've done so far. Made entirely with Inkscape.

A big THANKS to:

- Inkscape: what a great tool! :D
- Ubuntu, Linux and Open Source in general
- All the other GNOME and KDE artists who have inspired me and specially everaldo (http://www.everaldo.com/) which is, I think, simply the best icon designer out there ;-)
- Open Clip Art Library (http://openclipart.org/).
- DeviantArt: One of the best place for inspiration and artworks.
- pwsp.net for hosting my project.

Constructive feedbacks are more than welcome ;-)

Enjoy!

Saki

 Lovely

Woppss you made som real nice icons there, the folders looks absolutly stunning.
Glad to here that you are going to make another kmenue button but (at least for me) you should consider a lookover of the trashcan, it look good but doesn't work that well, the 48 version can't hardly be seen on my light grey kicker.

I added a kmenu icon in today's update. Trash can will be blackened in the next update. Thanks for your input.

Great work! But what do you think about cold colors (blue, green, violet) folders icons?

 hints

very good work, I am right now using your iconset - hope it will get more and more icon with time!

just a couple of hints:
1. trashcan icon is too transparent - no matter which wallpaper I choose, I hardly see it;
2. Klipper icon is "too white", it's difficult to see what it means - at least when it's small;
3. kcontrolcenter icon doesn't look well at all when in small size.

I will report more as I keep on using your nice iconset!

 Shadows

You know what I really love on your icons? It's the tiny shadow below each of them. This makes them look just SOOO incredible, it gives the desktop a little bit of a third dimension.

Really nice, using it every time now. But plz make an "Opera" icon for the next release (and maybe an openoffice 2, too), then I'd be REALLY happy :D.

How do you like Plasma 5?
 The best KDE Desktop ever.
 Definitely a nice improvement.
 Not decided yet. Haven't tried it yet.
 I do not like some of the changes.
 KDE is taking the wrong way.
 I am still sticking with KDE 3.5.
 I have no opinion, but wanted to vote anyway.
