 moodin + Xgl problem

by LizzardDude on: Jun 4 2007

Score 50%

moodwrod, hi

yesterday I installed moodin successfully and everything seemed to work find. I can test the themes in kcontrol and they seem to work fine (except from the little redraw problem when exiting testing mode).

After rebooting the splashscreen doesn´t show up correctly. The background image doesn´t show up (white background) and the icons don´t redraw correctly. This seems to be a problem with Xgl.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

lizzard

hello, I'm fairly new to linux and every time I go to install the app I get through the ./configure and I try to do make and I get errors, then I try to do make install and I'm not getting anywhere, can someone please help?

I would post the error messages but I think it would be too long.

if you switched to package-based system, you wouldn't have to ./configure & make install anything, just download compiled package files (.rpm) and install them

i think it's easier that way if you are new to linux.

 Download broken?

I haven't been able to download this for a few days. Looks like http://moodwrod.com is not around anymore?

Is there anywhere else that the moodin engine can be downloaded from?

 Progress Bar

by TubaSoldier on: Oct 31 2007

Score 50%

I have always loved moodin. But I have also always thought that flashing icons on a splash were kind of tacky.

What are the chances of adding the ability to do a progress bar or a small animation into the functionality?

What do other moodin users think?

Thanks!

Do you like or dislike Ubuntu Unity?
 Yes, unity is alien technology!
It is less confusing than Gnome 3 default, shell.
Granny thinks it is much more usable than Gnome 2
Canonical is embarrasing itself with this split project
Gnome 3 default shell is much better
I dislike Unity, Gnome 3 default shell is alien technology!
None of the above, I like the 2Gb for free and Apple alike behavior. Will post a comment instead
