Splash Screen Engine for KDE
Heavily customizable engine for various types of themes

NEWS:
Thats it: I'll not continue writing code for this. I thought I would migrate it to KDE4, but i have to say that KDE4 isn't what i've expected.

Independently I'will thank all people supporting this project in any way!!!

Is it possible to
create a splash screen with moodin that it's just like "old" ksplash style(=
a little image centred on the desktop)?

I'm working on this but I am not still able to make it work
correctly.

not tried it, but it should be possible with the "SplashRect" option. maybe you'll have a look at the source (thememoodin.cpp).

sorry for the bad described theme options file.

Definitly have a look at "src/doc/THEMEOPTIONS".
there you could be able to find the neccessary options.

If I set "SplashRect", with my personal proportions of my desktop, I can obtain the image at the centre of the screen but with some defect in the trasparency of the "ImageX".
moreover with "SplashRect" option the position of the splash_image it depends from the resolution of the monitor, so if someone want to install this theme, he must set screen resolution to 1600x1220 in order to view correctly.
:(

thx :)

It builds, ok? It's a problem somewhere with, oh, one of a dozen things.

Do you have the kde dev packages?

Do you have the correct version of GCC?

Is your path sane?

Did you run the ./configure script? (?)

If so, did it succeed? If not, post the error.

You say make died; can you post the error here, so we can make a decent attempt to help you? Just flailing about and screaming "It doesn't work! (!!)" pretty much guarantees that no one can help you, since we don't know what's wrong.

I have an multi-screen with moodin splash kde startup and the EffectWidget background is black, not transparent!!!

i have modified the code for correct this, please correct your release if is a good idea. thank you very much for your work.

in effectwidget.cpp line 148

void EffectWidget::updateCache()
{
if (!bgImage)
return;

- QPoint pos(mapToGlobal(QPoint(0, 0)))
+ QPoint pos(mapToParent(QPoint(0, 0)));
background = bgImage->copy(pos.x(), pos.y(), width(), height());
}

it s very simple, ;)

Do you like or dislike Ubuntu Unity?
 Yes, unity is alien technology!
 It is less confusing than Gnome 3 default, shell.
 Granny thinks it is much more usable than Gnome 2
 Canonical is embarrasing itself with this split project
 Gnome 3 default shell is much better
 I dislike Unity, Gnome 3 default shell is alien technology!
 None of the above, I like the 2Gb for free and Apple alike behavior. Will post a comment instead
