Lipstik is a fast and clean style for KDE3 with many options to tune your desktop look.

Just try it! :)

INSTALLATION : Please read the INSTALL file.

CONFIGURATION : You can find many options in the style's configuration panel. Go to Settings/Appearance & Themes/Style and click on the 'configure' button.

BUGS : Read the BUGS file; if the issue is not reported, post a comment below, I'll try to read them often.

DEBUG TRACE : If you have a debug trace, dont post it here; send it to me via email.

Lipstik now has a home page, go check it out!

Have fun!

Changelog:

---01/10/2007---
2.2.3 : For my PC-BSD friends...
--Add a configurable active tab highlight color.
--PC-BSD rocks! Try it!

---17/02/2007---
2.2.2 : After one year...
--Just a repackaging of the special Debian version.
--Updated the spec file for Fedora Core 6, thanks to Pramod Venugopal.
--Lipstik now has a home page (http://poplix.homelinux.com/lipstik).

...I have a new version (2.3) locally but it will need some more testing before I release it; Lipstik is still not dead after all ;)

 Great

I am happy to know that the project is not dead. I've been using lipstik since the first release - since then it has much matured and has become IMO the nicest-looking widget style for KDE. Keep up the great work!

P.S. All gentooers that have older lipstik ebuilds in their overlays can do the following:
-->8---------------------------------------
cd [portdir-overlay]/x11-themes/lipstik/
cp lipstik-x.y.ebuild lipstik-1.2.ebuild
ebuild lipstik-1.2.ebuild digest
emerge lipstik
-->8---------------------------------------

It is not the size of the hammer that counts. It's how you wield it.

 Sooo Nice!

The flat taskbar and columns headers stuff is the only thing that I could think to make this better. Now it has come true :)

This makes not only my taskbar flatter, but also removes the annoying big sharpenned squares in to of the menus in the devices applet, and in the other taskbar menus where such ugly tittles apply.

Hi,

I like lipstik very much and I've been using it for very long time.

But, with version 1.2 the animated logo - the last icon on konqueror's main toolbar is not shown when I have extra toolbar on (my default).

I downgraded to 1.1 and everythings works fine.

I am really really glad lipstik is not dead. I have been using it since Christmas and despite all the new styles coming, I have found that lipstik is the best.

Thanks,
Osho

 Taskbar Buttons

Hi, I really like this style. It's clean, faster & fancy.
My idea on the new flat taskbar buttons is, they should be improved in usability point of view (Ex: mouse over event). In the mean time, now I'm enjoying the behavour of the vertical tab buttons comes in the new amarok 1.3. And I like to see the same kind of behavior in Taskbar buttons as well.

Just to let you know that it works without a hitch on Mandriva LE2005. Even worked with Checkinstall. Cheers Joe

Do you like or dislike Ubuntu Unity?
 Yes, unity is alien technology!
It is less confusing than Gnome 3 default, shell.
Granny thinks it is much more usable than Gnome 2
Canonical is embarrasing itself with this split project
Gnome 3 default shell is much better
I dislike Unity, Gnome 3 default shell is alien technology!
None of the above, I like the 2Gb for free and Apple alike behavior. Will post a comment instead
