Description:

Sharp corners are dead (almost). Long live to the round. Designed to be *fast*, simple and clean. Recomended use with "Web" kwin decoration.

Thanks to Jens Luetkens for ideas, code and the config stuff. Based on dotNET. Many code from Konx. Menu color idea from dotNET2.

The translucent menu works except for "Software Tint".

Please tell any inconvenience you find. Then I can call it 1.0 and go for effects and eye candy.

Changelog:

-Fixed menu check mark not properly painted
1.0b3

-Dark frame problem resolved.
-New menu look, configurable. See screenshot
0.3b

-Many fixes and performance improvement
0.2.1

-File transfer and cookie dialogs issue resolved

 WOW Fast!

Wow, never seen such a flying-fast style!

From you changelog:
"-Drawing routine reimplemented, faster and nicer" + the other perf.
fixes:
Are they specific to your style, or to KDE code?

In case of the latter, u should post
them to kde-devel for inclusion into
the mail tree.

 I'll to explain it

Well, this style does not patch kde code, that should be too much.

I'll try to explain the ""-Drawing routine reimplemented, faster and nicer" changelog line. In version 0.1 I used a qt method named drawRoundRect, and it had some problems. The corners did not had all the same size nor look. So looking in the (GPL) qt sources I could fix it making the squares myself with drawConvexPolygon, documented as fast in X. At the same time it bypass several checks and loops in the generic qt method.

Also you can see the style is very simple, no gradients, no pixmaps, no pseudo 3d. In the dotnet code I droped many things, 8 bit support, bidi, all the event filter and dinamic objects. You can do `ll --sort=size /usr/lib/kde3/plugins/styles/*.so` and see what is the smallest style.

kde-look is full of good styles with nice gradients and effects. This, simply, does not have them. Just plain, fast and simple style. Just a alternative.

Wow! Just imagine what comes next:

(1) anti-aliased lines (in particular the round corners).

(2) smooth gradients.

:)

you're theme is crazy-fast and looks very good, but I don't like (actually hate) the centered tabs. its really not usable to always have the tabs moving. could you please disable this, or make it possible to disable it?

thanx in advance...

btw smooth aa and gradients, well, I guess they don't fit this theme... but it might be nice as an option, if its not too hard to do...

 good features

I like the general roundness :-) of the theme, menus, textboxes, icon areas, etc etc, the theme is amazing fast, but I'll prefer a more polished and good looking one (my actual default style is lipstik) so those features with a little more of eye-candy could make a great theme

How do you like Plasma 5?
 The best KDE Desktop ever.
 Definitely a nice improvement.
Not decided yet. Haven't tried it yet.
I do not like some of the changes.
KDE is taking the wrong way.
I am still sticking with KDE 3.5.
I have no opinion, but wanted to vote anyway.
