Whenever a KDE developer brings up the beautiful interfaces being made possible by all the work going into porting stuff to QML, they need to start including a link to your profile page here. Both of your steampunk-inspired widgets look absolutely stunning, and are prime examples of what's possible. Thanks for sharing this awesome work with us, and keep it up!

 Timerkeeper misses file .....

 by wusel1007 on: Sep 5 2013

I've updated to you new version of timekeeper and it will not start cause one of the import statements is looking for a folder at the wrong place (OpenSuSE 12.3 x86_64) The path there is "/usr/lib/kde4/imports/org/kde/plasma/components" but in OpenSuSE 12.3 x86_64 the folder resides at "/usr/lib64/kde4/imports/org/kde/plasma/components". I've changed the path in the xml file and timekeeper runs as expected. Is there a way to check for the approprirate path?

It was the debug path.
I removed it.
Thank you for feedback)

This doesn't work with Mageia 2 64bit, so I tried lookin for a different path as you mention here bit I can't seem to find this.

I haven't tested this in mageia 32bit.

Regards,

Do the following command in a command shell:

find /usr -wholename '*org/kde/plasma/components' -print 2>/dev/null

This command takes a while to run but it will show you where in the path /usr the folder components resides.

On OpenSuSE 12.3 i got two results. You may try out which one will work for you :-)

Good luck.

I got a tip from Dimitrios Glentadakis on the Mageia bug report site.

Try this first from root:
ln -s /usr/lib64/kde4/plugins/marble/org/kde/ /usr/lib64/qt4/imports/org

For a 32bit system, try:
ln -s /usr/lib/kde4/plugins/marble/org/kde/ /usr/lib/qt4/imports/org

And it works great with Mageia.

Regards

Thank.
Just an observation :
you name the first field "Week"
I think "Day" is more appropriate.

Did everything to the letter. Got nothing

 by AndyOpie150 on: Nov 12 2013

I'm trying to get this to work in SuperX 2.1.1 Ada which is built with the KDE desktop. I think it was built on top of Kubuntu 13.04 or 13.10
Found this plasmoid in the get "new widigets" option in the KDE task bar.

Followed directions for Kubuntu to the letter. Even installed "pacman" from terminal (had to, was directed to when typing in the command below), but when I type this into a terminal:
pacman -S kdeplasma-addons-wallpapers-marble
All it does is open up "Pacman"

Followed path and all elements of timekeeper plasmoid are in the /home/.kde/share/apps/plasmoid/timekeeper folder as well as plasma-applet-timekeeper.desktop being in /home/.kde/share/kde4/services.

I got zip, nada, nothing.

What am I missing?

Do you like or dislike Ubuntu Unity?
 Yes, unity is alien technology!
It is less confusing than Gnome 3 default, shell.
Granny thinks it is much more usable than Gnome 2
Canonical is embarrasing itself with this split project
Gnome 3 default shell is much better
I dislike Unity, Gnome 3 default shell is alien technology!
None of the above, I like the 2Gb for free and Apple alike behavior. Will post a comment instead
