Description:

if there is no text in the krunner, atm krunner is blank. my idea is to add something like chromes-speed dial. that show you your most used apps (not the last one!)
if you write some text, the application-icons will be removed and the normal krunner search results are there.

Changelog:

moved to brainstorm :) sorry~
its just an idea

 without mouse?

Nice idea but would it only show plain apps? E.g. I often use krunner to open applications with different parameters or addresses. In the most used applications list would there be e.g. "opera facebook.com" and "opera kde-look.org" or just "opera"?

For me those "often used" icons would be of no help, because I would have to take the hands off the keyboard and re-grab the mouse to hover over the icons to see which is which or just to click. When I use Alt-F2 I'm ready to use the keyboard. So those app-icons, given they would also contain the addresses and parameters, would need some additional identification item which also would be visible without mouse usage.

Want Debian Sid with spices? Get aptosid at aptosid.com - it simply works :)

Hm thats hard. its much better/cleaner to have no text. if there is support for that we have to display the full command and in case of some 200character commands krunner will be an ugly little tool. so i think its better to do not support "command-line-starters"

I absolute agree! I was writing something similar.
I wish we could have something like "most used" in QtMoko for example ( http://dl.dropbox.com/u/2500169/qtmoko-mostused.png )... like you said, "firefox google.com", "kopete Anna" or similar.

Do you like or dislike Ubuntu Unity?
 Yes, unity is alien technology!
It is less confusing than Gnome 3 default, shell.
Granny thinks it is much more usable than Gnome 2
Canonical is embarrasing itself with this split project
Gnome 3 default shell is much better
I dislike Unity, Gnome 3 default shell is alien technology!
None of the above, I like the 2Gb for free and Apple alike behavior. Will post a comment instead
