White mouse cursor/pointer for KDE & X11

This my white mouse cursor contribution towards all nice kde users :) This cursor seemlessly get integrated with KDE and beautify it a bit more. Other X applications like Mozilla, Netscape, MTV etc., also are easy to use.

Just untar the '134-Cursor.tgz' by:

# tar -zxvf 134-Cursor.tgz

Before this don't forget to backup the XF86's cursor.pcf.gz file.
to use it, just copy (if you are root)

# cp cursor.pcf.gz /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/misc/cursor.pcf.gz

(if not root)

# cp cursor.pcf.gz ~/.kde/share/fonts/override/cursor.pcf.gz

and restart KDE (logoff and logon again). That's it.

Version 2.2:
1. Standard Cursor made consistent with Busy cursor (visible in Netscape).
2. cursor.bdf (Source) provided, so that you can create some different ones.

Why would anyone want a white mouse pointer??

windows had a white one, its imposible to find it on the screen if you usinga web browser or writing something!!!

black mouse pointer is a lot better!

...if more different looking mouse mointers were created,
maybe one like the pointer from Enlightenment, but cleaner or other stylish creations!!

That's what I think what would make KDE look absolutely perfect.

I love this one because a white cursor with a black conture is much more precise when working with images/sound processing software.

use the XP cursor. It looks much better. Just put the cursor over a white background than press print scrn and open it up ina graphics program and crop out only the cursor.

I hate the default "hand" pointer in KDE (which appears when the cursor is on a link).
The cursor to edit the text is fine too.
The only one I need now is the "waiting" cursor.
Thanks again.

How do you like Plasma 5?
 The best KDE Desktop ever.
 Definitely a nice improvement.
Not decided yet. Haven't tried it yet.
I do not like some of the changes.
KDE is taking the wrong way.
I am still sticking with KDE 3.5.
I have no opinion, but wanted to vote anyway.
