Description:

A glassier version of my dekorator theme.
With no border this time. You need to
restart dekorator b4 applying this theme
or it will have borders and look totally
gay.

inb4: looks like mac.

Oh and for those interested, full shot:

Better fonts! Better! LOL.

In others, please PLEASE release this as a pack or something. Your colour scheme, your bespin style, is that AWN at the bottom? Conky config? This is FAR too good, easily the best KDE4 mod I've seen.

Hehe, thx!

I guess the bespin config/color scheme
makes sense. The conky configs arent mine,
so I'm prolly not gonna share those.
Thx for the heavy comps!

I actually took a little inspiration from
one of your shots.

That is kde but it's not plasma desktop,
the desktop is not publicly available and the author
asked me to stfu about it so that's what
I'm gonna do.

Hopefully plasma will be better in the
future with launcher support and all that,
I know there is a bugreport on it and
I was there voting for it too, dunno
if it passed.

 Bespin

Hello, I really like you desktop.
How do you get the seperator line between the toolbuttons? And why are they lower than mine?
Would you mind sharing the wallpaper?
What plasma theme are you using and how do you get the button like borders around the icons in the taskbar?

Great job.
Keep going on.

The separator between dolphin toolbuttons?
well, that isnt actually there, just abused
qss to make a 1px gap between them that
looks like a "separator", here all the
qss you need to make them look exactly
like that:

QToolButton { /* all types of tool button */
padding-left: 5px;
padding-right: 5px;
padding-top: 2px;
padding-bottom: 2px;
margin-top: 0px;
margin-bottom: -2px;
margin-right: 1px;
margin-left: -1px;
}

just you need ofc to make them raised
and metal in bespin conf.

wallpaper? sure:
http://2shi.deviantart.com/art/Special-Brew-2-81786766

Desktop?

All I can say here is that its not
plasma and it's not publicly available.

Hello,

thanks for your reply.
But how can I apply stylesheet to all applications?
Now i call dolphin with "dolphin -stylesheet <path to qss-file>
Is there a better way to do this?
I really like the way it looks.

Great as usual Rob. Btw, I use leo V8 too, and my taskbar doesn't look that awesome. I understand is not plasma, but how do you get that monochrome icons? they're awesome.

I tought so :P Mind sharing? If you can, of course. I'll really like to make a theme just for me, with some of the svn icons, if you want, your icons and some leo-like icons, more like the monochrome iconthemes you did for yourself before carbonite and less like... well, carbonite. Still picking the folder icons tough.... that's the beauty of GPL.

Ok, have a nice day!

ofc I can.... is just I have exported the
icons to 32x32 +- so they are really a
mess atm as I created them for personal
use but if you still want them (including
svg sources) I can provide you with them.

I have your email address, just confirm
you still want them and you will recieve
a messy tarball.

Yeah I just started workin on a folder icon
myself......
..Still nothing worth mentioning, but
have a looksee:

any insults very welcome!

Is it possible in kde 4.4 to have only icons show in the task manager (not the name an icon of the open windows but just icons)? God I want the same desktop as seen on the screenshot so bad!! Can we just know did someone develop the new alternative for plasma or what??

 Icons

 by uxlx on: May 8 2010

Score 50%

This maybe isn't the right place to ask this question, but on the other side you look like the right man to answer it, so here it goes; I use the bespin icons, but some apps, like Firefox, are not shown in the taskbar with the bespin icon, but the ugly blue globe (default icon I presume). Can this be solved? Thanks in advance ;)

That is a problem with the app... not the
icon theme, problem is firefox looks for
it in some weird place like:

/usr/lib/mozilla-firefox/chrome/icons/default/default16.png
/usr/lib/mozilla-firefox/chrome/icons/default/default32.png
/usr/lib/mozilla-firefox/chrome/icons/default/default48.png

or smth like that...... anyways, you'll
have to edit these icons everytime
you update firefox.

Other apps with this problem usually looks
for icons in /usr/share/pixmaps...
...have a looksee there to see what
I mean :)

hope this answered your question, if not
please specify.

Do you like or dislike Ubuntu Unity?
 Yes, unity is alien technology!
 It is less confusing than Gnome 3 default, shell.
 Granny thinks it is much more usable than Gnome 2
 Canonical is embarrasing itself with this split project
 Gnome 3 default shell is much better
 I dislike Unity, Gnome 3 default shell is alien technology!
 None of the above, I like the 2Gb for free and Apple alike behavior. Will post a comment instead
