Depending on which distro you are using, make sure you have your XFree86 development package installed, since that is where the X libs reside. It's been awhile since I've used an RPM based distro, but I believe it's named something like xfree-dev-4.*.*.rpm

I had the same problem as I am new to Linux and got past it put am stuck again. I am using SuSE 9.1 Personal which doesn't include development tools. The RPM I needed to install was called XFree86-devel-4.3.99.902-40.i586.rpm in YaST in SuSE and would be similar but with a different version on other distros. After that i got stuck not having "libz..." so installed libzvt-dev and some other libzvt but that didnt do it so that's where I'm at now. If someone has a doc on what tools us newbs should install that'd be nice and helpful. Thanks.

Most probably you need to install zlib and zlib-devel packages.

Can't locate object method "path" via package "Autom4te::Request" at /usr/bin/autom4te line 81, line 116.
autoheader: /usr/bin/autom4te failed with exit status: 1
make: *** [config.h.in] Error 1

Great little toolbar. Only one thing that it does that I would like to figure out. If you know the answer let us know :)

Sometimes when I point at the toolbar and sometimes when I move off it has this annoying flash. Is there a fix for this.

I tried cvs real quick but it wants a older versoin of automake "(

A little hint for you and all those who want to use the CVS tarball; in README.CVS you tell to exec

make -F Makefile.dist

which of course should be

make -f Makefile.dist

But I suppose all those who dare to use the CVS tarball know that...

nice app!

It looks like, that works better if you move the mouse pointer from the side to the bottom, than verticaly from up to down.

Do you like or dislike Ubuntu Unity?
 Yes, unity is alien technology!
It is less confusing than Gnome 3 default, shell.
Granny thinks it is much more usable than Gnome 2
Canonical is embarrasing itself with this split project
Gnome 3 default shell is much better
I dislike Unity, Gnome 3 default shell is alien technology!
None of the above, I like the 2Gb for free and Apple alike behavior. Will post a comment instead
