Description:

A plasma theme to fit in with bespin.

any insults very welcome!

features:

-follows color scheme from kde color center.
-fits in with bespin

...it\\\'s still very incomplete and not final
design so.... oh, and it\\\'s made under kde-svn
so not sure if it will work in stable.

It has been brought to my attention
that this theme does not work in stable (4.3)

Changelog:

6.1
-new widgets: pager, buttons, some other
minor widgets
-bugs: inkscape didn't let me set the
active hovered element id's to selected+hover so it renders nothing
when hovering an active view element, anybody know why?
-full screenshot: http://img63.imageshack.us/img63/5906/shoty.png

31.12
-fixes: tasks follows color scheme now
-full shot: http://img121.imageshack.us/img121/5256/shots.png

Sorry, I have no time to make a dark ss

30.12
-minor overall improvements.
-full shot:
http://img255.imageshack.us/img255/5906/shoty.png

(the clock in the shot is beclock)

21.12
-made the clock easier to understand.
-improved tasks and tray.
-new widgets: progressbar, made this
one real minimalistic as I didn't manage
to get a advanced looking to be good
at small size (check out the playwolf
in the panel for confirmation).
-full screenshot: http://img687.imageshack.us/img687/3269/shotg.png

03.12 -fixed a glitch in a frame.
-new widgets: sliders
full screenshots:

http://img69.imageshack.us/img69/3972/shotk.png

30.11, -new clock (includes desing ideas
of Thomas Lübking)
-new bg's now follow color scheme.
-overall design improvements, actually spended some time on making this
release. Thx to Thomas for good guidelines!

25.11, -fixed a glitch in upper corner.
-improved more "mainstream" tasks.
-panel follows colors (heh, buggy as h**l, will improve, please bug me)

 I have an issue...

I really want to use this theme, but there seems to be a problem rendering this theme: it doesn't look as nice as yours.

Observe:

Can you see the 'glitches' around the corners and edges? How can I fix this?

Yes I have heard that there is a lot of
glitches... tho as long as I cannot reproduce them....
....there is very little I can tho.

I have tried this on arch linux too on
my lappy and works just as good there,
tho I have not tried it in the latest
"stable" release (4.3), as I have always
run kde from trunk... with latest qt.

are you running stable by any chance?

The screenshot looks really weird indeed,
it doesnt even render the tray at all?

I completely re-made the tasks for this release,
hoping that it would remove any glitches
ppl are having... I don't know what else
I could do.

Hmmm,, btw, if you have some extra time,
try to open some of the svg's in inkscape
and see if they look okey, if not, then
the problem must be the transfer.... I
dunno how that would be possible tho.

Thx for feedback, appreciated.

oh, and a happy new year friend! :D

Yes, I think the problem may be different KDE versions. I'm running 4.3.1, on openSUSE 11.2. I've been developing a plasma theme for Bongos and I've been told my theme, although fine on my system, doesn't work on trunk. So it may be the naming specifications or SOMETHING has been altered in trunk/4.4 beta to stop rendering older plasma themes properly.

Bugger. It may be advisable, should you continue plasma theming, to set aside a KDE 'stable' session for the majority of users who don't use trunk/snapshots? :D

Best of the new year to you, man.

you're trying to talk sense into a completely
senseless guy man!

hmm, if I knew what has changed it would
be really easy to make a version for stable
tho.

Could you share the icons you use in dolphins navigation bar!
I got the icontheme from https://cloudcity.svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/cloudcity but it seems, that the navigation icons aren't in the icons folder, or are they?
thanks in advance

Take a look in the 'alternatives' folder , there are many other icons. ;)

( cloudcity > icons > alternatives )

This folder I already checked out! Indeed there are some similar looking ones located but I don't think they are the same. There's missing the perfectly "theme-matching" square around them or does Qt4 render the square (I'm on xfce at the moment)

Actually the square is rendered by the bespin qt style. So.. i don't see how can you get that on xfce.

Thanks, that's all i needed to know! I'm switching to KDE in a few weeks, that why I asked! Bespin is able to render such gorgeous buttons? Great thing, you can say the design is almost as googd as Mac's OS X!

Sorry again, but the config you posted doesn't work for me. I save the code as a *.bespin file with kate and then I try to import the file, but it does nothing. Other configs work fine, am I doing something wrong!

the dump is no export but apparently a slice of ~/.config/Bespin/Style.conf (don't replace the file, you'll loose your the deco settings and app bindings then)

Do you like or dislike Ubuntu Unity?
 Yes, unity is alien technology!
It is less confusing than Gnome 3 default, shell.
Granny thinks it is much more usable than Gnome 2
Canonical is embarrasing itself with this split project
Gnome 3 default shell is much better
I dislike Unity, Gnome 3 default shell is alien technology!
None of the above, I like the 2Gb for free and Apple alike behavior. Will post a comment instead
