Description:

Jakob Petsovits has kindly taken over maintaining the icon set. Rather than delete this node (which would screw things up for people who still link to this page) I'm just going to say: GO HERE:

Changelog:

2005-04-28:
NEW MAINTAINER, NEW PAGE

2004-12-07: changed some broken links, removed blue PNGs due to lack of hosting space

(changed links for PNG downloads to mirror until I sort out legal problems with the newtolinux domain)

(added crosslink to gnome-look entry)

0.7.1
---
Only a few new icons in this release. The main features are two colourschemes for download, and some changes in icons to bring the KDE set in line with the GNOME set.

0.7
---
Not a huge change. Just lots more application icons, and a few renamed icons to fix missing icon problems. 128x128 icons are now also distributed with the set.

0.6
---
The main focus in this release has been KOffice, OpenOffice, Mozilla, Quanta, Samba, KMix (inc. systray) and other app icons requested. There are also lots of other new icons, and the set is now available with PNGs. I also fixed the problems with some ksystray icons not showing (klipper, kopete, etc.)

0.5
---
Yet more icons ;) Most significantly, K3B and Kontact should be complete. There are also quite a few new action icons, and some more icons for KControl.

With this release of your icons as PNG's, you have thwarted my plans of world domination :)

lol

Did you read my suggestions for new lila icons? (they stand at the old 0.5 SVG release page).

Greets,
Lenz.

I did, and I've got some of them in 0.6. It takes me a while to do new ones from scratch though, because I'm better at copying & pasting elements of existing icons than I am at drawing new ones that fit.

Feel free to have a stab yourself, even if they're rubbish (they might give me some ideas). Just copying crystal versions is a bit dull!

Another icon I miss is the "Start new session" icon in the K-Menu.

Here are a few more requests: the gimp, gftp, korganizer sys tray icon, help icon in the kmenu list. Keep up the good work maby gentoo will include you icons in their kde ebuild :)

This is my default icon set from
now on. At home and at work.
Clean, quite complete and looks good
Thanks for all the hard work.
Some (small!) notes:

1)
In Konq thee are 3 Icons for
KFileReplace, FSViewPArt and Cervisia.
They are mot that important but difficult to remove because they are embedded. Now it would be fine if
these 3 icons were provided just for
the sake of completeness.

2)
More folder icons would be great!
This is actually something were
Lila cold surpass all existing
icon sets because they all lack
IMHO many folder icons. They
shouldn't (I'm no artist) be very
difficult to create because they just
combine the folder icon and some
other small icon. Currently I'm
missing the folder_html and folder_images icons. And it would
be great if some more folder colours
(not only green, red, yellow, blue)
were provided, especially orange.
And folder_download would certainly
be handy for lots of users.

Could you please add those to the wiki? The link is highlighted at the bottom of the description of the icon theme (scroll up).

telex: I also fixed the problems with some ksystray icons not showing (klipper, kopete, etc.)

Do you have to do anything special to install these? I'm still getting the old klipper and kopete icons in the systray...

I realised I didn't have the 22x22/apps folder in the index.desktop file. I added it in, and they worked. It was a very stupid mistake!

Do you like or dislike Ubuntu Unity?
 Yes, unity is alien technology!
It is less confusing than Gnome 3 default, shell.
Granny thinks it is much more usable than Gnome 2
Canonical is embarrasing itself with this split project
Gnome 3 default shell is much better
I dislike Unity, Gnome 3 default shell is alien technology!
None of the above, I like the 2Gb for free and Apple alike behavior. Will post a comment instead
