Description:

iChat style for Kopete
----------------------

So I was bored and thought "Wouldn't it be nifty if Kopete looked like iChat?"
and here we are. So far I just have basic grey bubbles, and a fixed text size,
but I want to add more color bubbles, other user icons (or maybe use buddy
icons there, who knows)

You still have to manually set the file path to the images, but you only have
to do it once now, in the image-location variable :)

You can now set a highlight color scheme, so you could have messages with your
name be yellow instead of green, or whatever :)

Unfortunately, because of the way Kopete's XML works, I can't differentiate
between actions FROM you and TO you, like in an IRC channel. So as of now, all
actions show as if they were TO you, even when you do them.

New! Added tagwar's transparent images.
Also, fixed highlighting to not change message color.

Enjoy!

Changelog:

0.3
- Added highlight options (fixed)
- Added timestamps
- Added tagwar's transparent images
(Thanks tagwar)

0.2
- Renamed 'grey' to 'clear'
- Added blue, graphite, green, orange, pink, purple, yellow bubbles
- Added several XSL variables, for things from theme selection, to
showing and hiding usernames
- Added seperate display options for system messages and actions

0.1
- To/From grey bubbles
- Tux/User icons for You/Them

also ... heh :)

you should remove all the font related variables.

that way , it will follow the configuration of kopete.

hardcoding font sizes and family in the style is not good

i removed them in my local copy and your style works nicelly with kopete configuration

It should read the Kopete colors/size/etc if you set 'allow-user-colors' to 'yes'

Unless I did that wrong :D

I was trying to make it so you can hard-set the fonts and colors to override anything people have set, but I'll look into it.

would be nice if the highlighted message ( when someone writes my nick ) would come in yellow ballons , and not as it comes right now ...

i love it. timestamps would be really nice, though.
and i would expect myself to be on the left hand side and the other guys pic on the right hand side of the bubbles. seems more intuitive to me, but I'm left handed and might therefore be biased towards the left :)
is there any chance to get a small version (smaller bubble border)? only if it doesn't cripple the look, of course.
keep up the good work.

Since iChat puts your messages on the right, and the other persons' on the left, I put it that way, but you could change it easy enough.

Highlight and timestamps are added, but thanks to the limited XML in Kopete, actions in IRC are the same if you do them or if someone else does them.

How do you like Plasma 5?
 The best KDE Desktop ever.
 Definitely a nice improvement.
Not decided yet. Haven't tried it yet.
I do not like some of the changes.
KDE is taking the wrong way.
I am still sticking with KDE 3.5.
I have no opinion, but wanted to vote anyway.
