 Run As Root etc.

As a newcomer to linux and unix I have found this very useful especially for installations and nosing arround. There is only one change I would like to see and that is the ability to open as root in the console. Also a suse installation update seems to have just removed it. drat. It really does help. I can soon but it back again but just how do I stop this from happening? It aught to be part of the base kde package.

"but just how do I stop this from happening?"

Where did you put the servicemenu to? /opt/kde...? Then it will be overwritten next time you update... Better put it into your home directory ~/.kde/share/apps.....

i want to make a pkgbuild for arch-linux is it possible that you upload a version without spaces
11227-SU - Service Menus.tar.gz
because the builder cannot handle spaces
11227-SU-Service-Menus.tar.gz would be enough

 open as root

This last weeks, we seen on kde-look.org differents kde actions like "run as root","edit as root", "print openoffice document"...Myself I'm using several of his actions in my kde menu and I find them very useful, "indispensables". But I think all these actions have to be concentrate. For example, I think "run and edit as root" could be the same action if in the script you made you could identify if it is a program or a file and so call the right action with kdesu. Perrahps you could work with the man who did execute as root? Or for "print openoffice document", why not use a simply Print this action? print appears in action document for all text files or kdetext file but openoffice. It will be better to obtain print action appears for openoofice files too than add more action? I think after multi action choice step, there will be synthetic action choice.

How do you like Plasma 5?
 The best KDE Desktop ever.
 Definitely a nice improvement.
Not decided yet. Haven't tried it yet.
I do not like some of the changes.
KDE is taking the wrong way.
I am still sticking with KDE 3.5.
I have no opinion, but wanted to vote anyway.
