Description:

(formely known as Dungeon Keeper style notifications)

This could be a way to make the notifications less intrusive. Like in the game dungeon keeper (and many more) the notification appears only as an icon. When mousing over the icon a description appears, maybe going to full view by clicking. The notification counts down (circle turns white) until it disappears.

Changelog:

Added some mockups showing job grouping, e.g. file transfer. Not really satisfied yet, so comments are welcome.

v0.3

Added a new mockup trying a slightly different design.

v0.4

New mockup showing the difference between the minimized and the full notifications, as there will always be demand for full notifications for some people.

v0.5
It also shows what happens when you move the mouse over a minimized notification bubble. Comments welcome!

This really looks what the notification should be about.

No just pop-ups but configuration option to get them to be a always top and small icons on the screen.

Wheey, please implement this. The current notifications really open a huuge window to display half a line of text...

Maybe someone of you will like my new plasmoids:
they constrict notifications entirely to the panel area - no popups at all, except you click the icon to see more information.

The notifications are the one thing in KDE4 that irritate me. Your idea looks perfect.

How do you like Plasma 5?
 The best KDE Desktop ever.
 Definitely a nice improvement.
Not decided yet. Haven't tried it yet.
I do not like some of the changes.
KDE is taking the wrong way.
I am still sticking with KDE 3.5.
I have no opinion, but wanted to vote anyway.
