Description:

It's a nice grafical splash screen for LiLo.

It reproduces the Matrix movie scene in which Morpheus gives the 2 pills to Neo. In the movie Morpheus says: "Remember...all I'm offering is the truth. Noting else." offering the pills to Neo.
"Free your mind" is the phrase that Neo says before jump.

Is it cool, isn't it?

HOW TO INSTALL: see the readme-install_xx.txt file inside the .zip file.

***IMPORTANT!!!******************
For version 0.2 (current): I changed the position of the text "Free your mind in: " and some color. So you have to use the configuration lines that other_color.txt contain.
*****************

***PLEASE LEFT YOUR FEEDBACK (AND A COMMENT)!!!***

Coming (not so ^_^) soon:
- grub version & howto
- green version

Changelog:

Hisory:
11/03/2004: fixed language bugs in english readme.

01/03/2004: upload version 0.2 change the image an the lilo.config lines.

29/02/2004: after dinner watching Mai Dire Domenica...udated descripion and added the italian and english readme-install.txt file into the zip file.

29/02/2004: not so early morning...uploaded the .zip file. Put the "how_to_install" in this section. (last night I was so drunk I forgot to upload the archive file, damn :-))

 grub

to use it with grub you need to open it with gimp and change te colors to 14, then save it ad xpm.gz

in /boot/grub/brub.conf (or /boot/grub/menu.lst) you need to change the line "splashimage=(hd0,0)/boot/grub/splash.xpm.gz" (or whatever it is) with the path to your new image...
i don't know if it is possible to move the menu lines in grub to match the box....i just deleted the box and moved the pic to avoid being covered from the menu entry...

you have to decrease the colors to 14, because grub handles only images with 14 color....i read this in manuals...
anyway i tried with the original image and was not correctly visualized...modified to only 14 colors was everything ok...in gimp there is a function just to change the palette and he chooses the right palette...

no the picture is perfect, when you want you can remove the windows logo and add and an gentoo :P or so. I dont can see the fucking MS Logo %(.

But the hands and the font are very, very great.

Good work, Martin.

With your suggestion the picture wouldn't make much sense.

The picture is for people who must decide whether to start Linux or Windows. The question is "Linux or Windows?".

With a picture with a TUX and a Gentoo logo the question would be "Do you want to boot Linux or Gentoo?"

.oO(This is dumb ;-))

So I can't follow you critisism...

In deed. To say some something else, like in Matrix, the choose is between your easy world (windows) and the truth world (Linux): blue pill or red pill???

How do you like Plasma 5?
 The best KDE Desktop ever.
 Definitely a nice improvement.
Not decided yet. Haven't tried it yet.
I do not like some of the changes.
KDE is taking the wrong way.
I am still sticking with KDE 3.5.
I have no opinion, but wanted to vote anyway.
