Description:

Here is a new idea making simple style named CoolBox. Hope some effects will be useful in making a new generation desktop of KDE4 before the 3D one.

Changelog:

v0.3 - still brainstorm. ireko is probably on holidays :D Just improved elements, gradients and new wallpaper.

v0.2 - Improved version with the default CoolBox wallpaper created by me.
In v0.2.1 I'll fill desktop with more objects. Also monochromatic icons in tray will remain.
Probably ireko with me will create another plasma theme based on CoolBox ideas.

Added default wallpaper.

v0.1 - Initial vi, baby!

 Fedoreando editor is here!

Thanks for the opinion! Placing the buttons in a ?Windows style? ( :P whatever) I tried to show that the window decorator can have a 3D button and when you press it then it becomes more like 2D :) The appearance of 'em is in the background - only a suggestion. When my study time ends I'll try to improve it much better.

BTW: THX for voting everybody! I appreciate that!

Still looks spectacular!

The style of the buttons does not matter, looks good, I only just say for the colors :P

I hope you finish your studies soon and you can share more of your great designs with everyone.

Good luck!!!

You've posted this one before but I was looking for the other one: The more reddish/yellow one with the circles...

If there will be a plasma theme the analog clock will look thereabout like presented. I'm working on taskbar now and on a widget look.

Hey,

I really like your wallpapers, but more of their cool colours. I don'T realy understand what your point is: Is is the idea of 3D-Icons and elements? or the transpareny of those elements? It seems everyone fraks out about it, and I am the only one to not understand. ;)

so, tell me the truth.;)

This mockup shows nothing for now - just color robe that's opposite to the Air one and basing on this idea I want to add few components in new plasma theme. In the 0.1 version I've suggested some new elements that you've probably noticed :) I want to merge them with this new theme. And the crystal icons are in the background now - they'll be changed with other. Stay tuned! :)

Do you like or dislike Ubuntu Unity?
 Yes, unity is alien technology!
It is less confusing than Gnome 3 default, shell.
Granny thinks it is much more usable than Gnome 2
Canonical is embarrasing itself with this split project
Gnome 3 default shell is much better
I dislike Unity, Gnome 3 default shell is alien technology!
None of the above, I like the 2Gb for free and Apple alike behavior. Will post a comment instead
