 scrolling over clock

This is great, I like this much more being dynamic (adding your own icons) and with the date/time. I'm just wondering if theres either a way to fix the problem with scrolling large images to overlap the time/date.. or if your going to be fixing this anytime soon or anything?

 Simple problem

 by aklakh on: Feb 22 2004

I have been playing with tuxbar, as well as a few other OSX-like menubars that use karamba/superkaramba, and all of them do the exact same thing that is really annoying me. There is this huge transparent section above the menubar that obscures any application that enters that area. You can see a screenshot of what I am talking about at http://www.bonaplus.com/~thb/images/screen.jpg

Basically, I want to have the focused window go on top of that transparent area, and then have the menubar come to the top when it is focused. I am pretty new to karamba/superkaramba, and for all I know this is not possible, but I find it kind of hard to believe that all the people using this program are just living with it like that. I am pretty sure I am overlooking something, but STFW and RTFM haven't turned anything that can help me.

hi!

well i lived with that too, until i was told to recompile superkaramba with following changes:

in the superkaramba-sourcetree edit
src/karamba.cpp line 2246

KWin::setType(winId(), NET::Normal);

to

//KWin::setType(winId(), NET::Normal);
(just uncomment it, right)

recompile
reinstall

and you've got the themes BEHIND the windows...

cheers!

Do you like or dislike Ubuntu Unity?
 Yes, unity is alien technology!
 It is less confusing than Gnome 3 default, shell.
 Granny thinks it is much more usable than Gnome 2
 Canonical is embarrasing itself with this split project
 Gnome 3 default shell is much better
 I dislike Unity, Gnome 3 default shell is alien technology!
 None of the above, I like the 2Gb for free and Apple alike behavior. Will post a comment instead
