good idea!

I love the small menu. No big border, no crystall (burk!).

Very nice.

Question: Is it a flash animation?

 Very innovative...

This is a very innovative idea, and one that I hope to see implemented in KDE4. It will be very useful to have the system processes easily infront of the user.

I posted that idea for the menus on kde-artists.org a couple of years ago, and the mockup that this video is based on is based on that.

I wish that I had follwed up on the idea, but there were too many people complaining about usability issues with it so I kind of lost my motivation for improving it or trying to get it into KDE 4.

It is nice to see that there is once again renewed interest in the idea. Now is there anyone out there willing to implement it?

Video and screenshot mockups are pretty to look at and good at getting attention, but not so helpful when it comes to actually implementing anything more than a very simple idea, assuming there is more to it than just a "look" or animation.

What is actually more useful is a document explaining the main concepts, with some use cases to provide examples of how they work in practise. Screenshots or videos to illustrate the ideas are helpful of course.

How do you like Plasma 5?
 The best KDE Desktop ever.
 Definitely a nice improvement.
Not decided yet. Haven't tried it yet.
I do not like some of the changes.
KDE is taking the wrong way.
I am still sticking with KDE 3.5.
I have no opinion, but wanted to vote anyway.
