Description:

These are button replacements for Amarok. I've included two sets, that are now in BOTH BLACK AND WHITE TEXT! Instead of symbols on the buttons, you can have the words! :) More sets will be coming...

To Install:

Make sure Amarok is closed. Download the tar.gz file and extract it somewhere. Enter the folder of the button set and color you wish use. (I've included a screenshot inside each folder to show you which set is which) Copy the five .png files you wish to use to ~/.kde/share/apps/amarok/images (if the "images" folder is not present in ~/.kde/share/apps/amarok then just create it! Then, just restart Amarok!

Any feedback/suggestions/recommendations would be much appreciated!

Changelog:

Added BOTH black and white text!

Added a few more sets!

I never ever use the standard Amarok buttons...they are too jaggy and unrefined.

nice to see another icon theme for Amarok.
This one I'm using for a long time now -->
http://www.kde-look.org/content/show.php?content=44127
Both are nice, I hope to see more buttons coming in the future. (a complete skinned window will be a nice addition to Amarok to ;) )

one more thing, You don't have to become ROOT and edit/backup the original buttons.

Just place the buttons into ~/.kde/share/apps/amarok/images
(example: /home/YOUR_NAME/.kde/share/apps/amarok/images)
(if the directory doesn't exist, create it)
Now Amarok will use the new buttons!

I didn't realize it could be done as user. When I looked in ~./kde..../amarok I didn't see the images folder so I guess I didn't think to make one! I'll adjust the instructions so that people don't have to use the root user. Probably better that way. ;) I don't know much about skinning the whole window, but I'm thinkering with other little things, like new "PL" and "EQ" buttons I've made in the Gimp. My new ones are black to match my other buttons. :) Thanks for your help, though! It's much appreciated!

I see that you have added my black buttons in the download, cool! I'm going to take my black button upload offline now, because those have no more added value anymore.

Ps.
also a nice set of buttons ;)

Hey! Yeah, I went through and made black buttons for each set and I've added a third set in "Lucida" that is much more standard and not as wild as the first two sets. ;) The other button set you've linked to is very nice also! But, when I saw those earlier, it hit me! Black text wouldn't work on black buttons! White text wouldn't work on white buttons, either. So, I've made both black and white text. :)

How do you like Plasma 5?
 The best KDE Desktop ever.
 Definitely a nice improvement.
Not decided yet. Haven't tried it yet.
I do not like some of the changes.
KDE is taking the wrong way.
I am still sticking with KDE 3.5.
I have no opinion, but wanted to vote anyway.
