Description:

This is the Moodin Ksplash engine, repackaged for Ubuntu (breezy badger).

************Warning*************
This is only a repackage, not a recompile. There are slight version mismatches. While everything seems to work fine on my system, you must use this at your own risk.
******Use at your own risk******

You may require the Ubuntu backports repository:

deb http://ubuntu-backports.mirrormax.net/ hoary-extras main universe multiverse restricted

To install:
root@myubuntubox# sudo dpkg -i ksplash-engine-moodin_0.4.2ubuntu1_i386.deb

Changelog:

- Repackaged moodin engine to install on Ubuntu (Breezy Badger).

 Hoary

will it work on Hoary? I really need Moodin engine, and a few more splash themes would be rather useful =)
-- and why will we need to activate the mirrormax-backport repo?!

"To install:
root@myubuntubox# sudo dpkg -i ksplash-engine-moodin_0.4.2ubuntu1_i386.deb"

You do NOT need to be root to run sudo, because sudo runs the command you supply to it with root privilegies.
"sudo dpkg -i ..." as any user will work, especially since it's not "standard ubuntu procedures" to become root...

 amd64 repackage

I've recompiled and repackaged moodin for amd64, and have put the .deb package here:

http://24.70.198.77/ksplash-engine-moodin_0.4.2_amd64.deb

This is very temporary, as it's indeed chillin' on my cable modem.

Anyway, hope it saves some people time.

By the way, I strongly suggest you check it for viruses and/or backdoors before installing it. Seriously, use your heads people.

How do you like Plasma 5?
 The best KDE Desktop ever.
 Definitely a nice improvement.
Not decided yet. Haven't tried it yet.
I do not like some of the changes.
KDE is taking the wrong way.
I am still sticking with KDE 3.5.
I have no opinion, but wanted to vote anyway.
