Submitted:  May 25 2013
Updated:  Oct 13 2014

Description:

This program was created because I needed a tool to monitor computer temperature with possibility to save it to a file.

To properly work it needs programs on your system:
- lm_sensors
- hddtemp
and present paths:
- to partitions file: /proc/partitions
- to battery files: /sys/class/power_supply

Available keys on applet:
- LMB (left mouse button) - force to check temperature
- RMB (right mouse button) - display help

Configuration is done by modifying the file "Temperature.cfg", which is created automatically in your Home directory when first start.

Changelog:

2013-05-25 v1.0
2013-05-26 v1.1
- add to available keys on applet: RMB (right mouse button) - display help
2014-10-12 v1.2
- changed config file to human friendly (Temperature.json to Temperature.cfg)
- added configurable time marker on chart
- added Battery state in percent of last full or design capacity
- added some options in config file

I do not have a ATI card to test this problem, but I found the information that run "modprobe it87" can help.

 A lot of Errors

by NatsuPower on: May 30 2013

Score 50%

I am starting to get a lot of errors for my drives and the today it also showed error for my motherboard and CPU.

On openSUSE 12.3 x64 my hddtemp in Konsole shows all drives ok and the sensors command shows also CPU and MB so add an configuration batten or option.

Deleting the Temperature.json and Temperature.log do not solve the problem.

Error in the view plasma-applet appears when hardware id from programs lm_sensors an hddtemp is different from this in Temperature.json.
If delete Temperature.json does not help, please send me via email Temperature.json file and the result of programs lm_sensor and hddtemp.
Temperature.log file does not matter.

How do you like Plasma 5?
 The best KDE Desktop ever.
 Definitely a nice improvement.
Not decided yet. Haven't tried it yet.
I do not like some of the changes.
KDE is taking the wrong way.
I am still sticking with KDE 3.5.
I have no opinion, but wanted to vote anyway.
