Description:

This has to be installed manually.

Download from kdelook and place in. ~home/username/.kde/share/apps/desktop theme

This theme combines elements of Opaquity, and Glassified. Also uses KrayScale system tray icons.

I didnt just combine them though. I modified the colors and some aspects of the design. I really like how the panel turned out.

Place in ~home/username/.kde/share/apps/desktop theme

In the screenshot I am using Appmenu QML. It can be found on this site.

It's nice to have another dark desktop theme and appreciate the design but I don't like icons and the color in search area plus the "dock" appareance.

I installed this theme on my brothers computer and I noticed that some monitors render the panel a little darker. On my sceen and some others it looks really good. On others you may need to lighten the screen settings. If you don't have that option then you can install inkscape and navigate to the file and lighten it a bit yourself, but your probably busy voting everyone down lol.

My panel changes color if I move it to a different screen edge.

yeh I did that because on my laptop screens the display renders the panel differently on top than it does on the bottom. Not sure why. This panel definitely looks better on the bottom but I generally prefer to use it on top. Like my women the same way.

more contrast in networkmanagement signal bar

Score 50%

hi, thank you for this theme, I like it very much!

Would it be possible to add a bitmore contrast in the network management plasmoid? The signal strength bar is almost the same color of the plasmoid backgroud and makes it difficult to see how strong the signal is.

You could choose some lighter color, something like graysh, so to make it easier to read.

cheers!

You could install inkscape. Navigate to home/username/.kde/share/apps/desktopthemes/softsand/icons and use inkscape to modify the network icon. You have to clear the cache to see the changes, home/username/.kde/cache and delete the plasma themes. .kde is a hidden folder so select show hidden folders in dolphin.

sorry, I've not made myself clear enough.

I'm not talking about the network icon but about the plasmoid widget, where you can see the available networks as a list with a signal strength bar. That bar is the one I'd like to change.

Do you like or dislike Ubuntu Unity?
 Yes, unity is alien technology!
It is less confusing than Gnome 3 default, shell.
Granny thinks it is much more usable than Gnome 2
Canonical is embarrasing itself with this split project
Gnome 3 default shell is much better
I dislike Unity, Gnome 3 default shell is alien technology!
None of the above, I like the 2Gb for free and Apple alike behavior. Will post a comment instead
