Description:

Here are some mousegestures for KHotkeys.

It supports:

- Chromium
- Chrome
- Opera
- Firefox
- Arora
- Rekonq
- Konqueror
- Dolphin
- Kontact

(requires KDE >= 4.3)

Installation:

Just go to Systemsettings -> InputActions and import "browsergestures.khotkeys".

Make sure gestures are enabled. The default mousebutton is set to "2" (mouse wheel). I prefer "3" (right button). You can change these settings at "settings".

 no gestures with Chromium

by KDesk on: Mar 27 2010

Hi, with KDE 4.4 and Chromium 5.0.364, the gestures don't work.
Is there something I can do to make it work?

I also use KDE 4.4.

The gestures work for me with Chromium 5.0.307.11 (39572) and Chrome 5.0.342.7 beta.

Are you sure to have enabled the gestures properly?

*edit*
I just saw, that you used a slightly different version of Chromium.

I'll wait until this version is in AUR (from Arch Linux) and test it then.

My mouse gestures were configured to use mouse button 2, I thought it wast the right button, but it was the wheel!

Now in button 3 it works as expected :)

Sorry for the noise.

 Used to work, but doesn't

I love mousegestures for all browsers. But I just reinstalled opensuse 11.2 and installed kde 4.4.2. After importing this khotkey file it does not work. I enabled gestures, set button to 3 and removed opera for webbrowsers. This used to work fine but now in both firefox and arora the gestures doesn't work. i haven't tested it in other browsers but I assume it doesn't work there either. Any idea what the problem is? Not having this will probably drive me nuts.

Oh that doesn't look good.

Maybe you can adjust the settings. Go to systemsettings -> input settings click on "Browsers" and go to conditions. There you can adjust the name of the programs in which the gestures shall be present. You can make use of the "autodetect"-button or type in the name of the program manually.

Seems to be a KDE problem. Mousgestures for konqueror, which came with KDE also doesn't work.

Thank you :)

I'm sorry, but I can't find the "dublicate tab"-feature in the applications for which I made these gestures. :(

 Home function

Hey Guys

Thanks a lot for this item, it's amazing :D

I use Kde 4.4.3 with Mandriva 2010.1, and the home function doesn't work.
So I don't know if the issue comes from my laptop or not.

Thank you :)

It seems that your program uses other shortcuts for "home". To make it work for you, you could adjust the right shortcut to the gesture which is responsible for "home". Just check out the settings in KHotkeys.

It's ok

I've changed «Alt+Pos1» by «Alt+Début», French version ;)

Thanks

I love mouse gestures, something that i have always missed. Really great i could say.

I'd like to ask if would be possible to support qupzilla too as it is a qt browser too.

Thanks again for this feature.

How do you like Plasma 5?
 The best KDE Desktop ever.
 Definitely a nice improvement.
Not decided yet. Haven't tried it yet.
I do not like some of the changes.
KDE is taking the wrong way.
I am still sticking with KDE 3.5.
I have no opinion, but wanted to vote anyway.
