Description:

Plasma Widget to control a X10 CM19A controller, used for home automation.

Initially panel is empty, add nodes with their corresponding address.

Engines automatically detects whether to use the usb directly (preferred) or use the Lemay's X10 kernel driver (included in src).

I added to /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist.conf
blacklist ati-remote
blacklist lirc_atiusb
blacklist x10-cm19a (if not using driver)

SVN (latest)
svn co http://cyberdine.ca/svn/x10-widget x10-widget

Point of interest:
- KDevelop4 project
- C++ KDE Plasma QT cmake
- DataEngine / Service / Jobs
- X10 Controller / libusb access
- Central QueueManager for widgets commands
- custom QT table model (screenshot2)
- produce debian package (cpack)

Changelog:

0.3.3
* SetProperty
* Timeout increase
* improvements and fixes

0.3.2
* Proper thread stopping & exit, queue management
* Improved reading of external commands (remotes)
* Improved model for settings (focus, initial params, refresh)
* Error handling

0.3.0
* SRC includes Lemay's X10 CM19A src driver (not in the debian packages)
- adapted code for new kernel & Makefile (in x10-src-folder/linux/)
- added CMakeList config
- modified cm19a.rules to have dev entries writeable on mount for driver
* if driver is detected widget will attempt to use (/dev/cm19a[0-9]), else will use libusb directly
* libusb is more resiliant. if driver stop working, unplug replug the usb controller
and restart the service (Start/Stop in widget)
* READ external commands on libusb, update values
* Notifications from driver are not read (haven't figured yet how to read from pipe without blocking it to driver)
* more event based notifications
* less logging & colorized output for Log Levels

0.2.4
* tuned-up slider/timers behavior
* timers stopped if coming from different widget
* reduced number of events sent

0.2.2
* FIX res locations
* added icon on with timer
* updated slider behavior

0.2.1
* Improve Slider refresh (use SET op and absorb update events)

0.2.0
* Remember last lighting value
* Disabled non implemented options
* SET operation, relaying all logic how to get there to QueueManager
* if { OFF - ON - nxDIM } shorter than { mxBRIGHT } commands, perform shortcut
* Plasma::DataEngine // Plasma::Service
- QueueManager moved there (unique to all widgets_)
- holds refs to the DataContainers (requested by plasmoids)
- answers to service request from plasmoids, redirecting to dataContainer[source]->service()
- Service are used to perform Jobs from plasmoids (like start/stop; sendCmd, SetCmd, ...)
- check README for more details

0.1.0
* Initial version. Functional, can be put on desktop or panel.
* No DataEngine/Service
* Widget directly do no update values, send directly to a shared QueueManager

Do you like or dislike Ubuntu Unity?
 Yes, unity is alien technology!
 It is less confusing than Gnome 3 default, shell.
 Granny thinks it is much more usable than Gnome 2
 Canonical is embarrasing itself with this split project
 Gnome 3 default shell is much better
 I dislike Unity, Gnome 3 default shell is alien technology!
 None of the above, I like the 2Gb for free and Apple alike behavior. Will post a comment instead
