Description:

Does he understand the exposé of MAC OS X? I thought about a to minimize different from the form how we knew. I thought about minimizing programs for esposé. The application when we minimized, it would go, instead of for toolbar, for the own desktop, being decreased, in a place, transparent. A double click in the desktop would show the desktop. A double click in a minimized application this way would reestablish him for original condition. Could also have another capacity. We are working in a virtual area, let us say one. When we minimized an application, he would be minimized in esposé in the desktop 2.

Conhece o exposé do MAC OS X?

 Xgl, etc...

To obtain effects like these smoothly, we need to have hardware accelration on our windows. Currently, Composite allows to some some features in this way, but it doesn't allow these effects. Take a look on Xgl extentions. If Xgl works some day, we could much more than these (basic) effects (feel weight of a window twist background windows, twist window, when it move, etc...).

So, do all you can to speed up developement of X and his extensions.

E16 already is able to do something like in the first screenshot. So if you use KDE with enlightenment you have something like that already today.

I blog, therefore I am.

 Nice, but...

What happens if I have a web-browser maximized and 5 apps minimized?

In your proposal I'll only see the maximized web-browser, but I couldn't see others running apps.

In the actual KDE (Gnome, Windows...) if I have an app maximized I can still see in the panel how many apps I have running.

How to solve it?

Anyway I like this idea so voted "Good" (but maybe we need XGL for it?)

It doesn't look like something useful to me. What are the supposed benefits?

Do you like or dislike Ubuntu Unity?
 Yes, unity is alien technology!
It is less confusing than Gnome 3 default, shell.
Granny thinks it is much more usable than Gnome 2
Canonical is embarrasing itself with this split project
Gnome 3 default shell is much better
I dislike Unity, Gnome 3 default shell is alien technology!
None of the above, I like the 2Gb for free and Apple alike behavior. Will post a comment instead
