I really like how this wallpaper symbolizes how the major OSes sort of situate themselves:

You have Windows and Linux going head to head out front,
then you have BSD in the background "serving" up what ever you'll have,
then you've got MacOS just hanging around on the wall just taking it all in.

Well, that's my take on it. Anyways, it would be cool to have a larger version of this. Good job!

These wallpapers are provided by the German IT magazine c't and they do not allow restribution.

Most certainly you're not allowed to publish this under the GPL.

Please remove this submission in your own interest. You checked that checkbox, that you assure not to violate any copyrights, when you've submitted this wallpaper.

To mess up a Linux box, you need to work at it; to mess up your Windows box, you just need to work on it.

Exactly my opinion! You shouldn't steal other people's property!

Who wants to get this and other really nice wallpapers should visit the owner's website http://www.heise.de/ct/motive/ - there are a lot of them ;-)

 Good and bad news

The wallpaper is originally from the german computer magazine c't (computer and technique).

At http://www.heise.de/ct/motive/ you can find are a lot of more cool wallpapers with penguins in different formats. In range from 240x320 (PDA) up to 1600x1200.

The bad news is the pictures are not licensed under GPL.

Any idea what is used to render those images? POVRAY or Blender?

How do you like Plasma 5?
 The best KDE Desktop ever.
 Definitely a nice improvement.
Not decided yet. Haven't tried it yet.
I do not like some of the changes.
KDE is taking the wrong way.
I am still sticking with KDE 3.5.
I have no opinion, but wanted to vote anyway.
